''What's for supper?'' Crujo asked while he followed Kuphulu in one of Anur Transyl's towns.
''Prison food if Scout arrests us again!'' Kuphulu snapped as his eyes narrowed at Crujo.
''Why are you angry?'' Crujo wanted to know. He continued to follow his partner in crime. Crujo glanced in every direction during the stroll.
*I don't see Scout. That's good. I can steal food while Kuphulu obtains rubies for his statues. I am very hungry* he thought.
''You always ask about food, Crujo. You are always distracted. That's why it's easy for Scout to arrest us,'' Kuphulu said.
He looked ahead while he still walked.
Kuphulu and Crujo stopped walking after they viewed a girl standing by a shop. They exchanged confused glances.
The girl smiled at the villains. ''I'm Viktoria,'' she said. She reached into a bag of gummy candy. Viktoria continued to smile while she ate.
''You can eat in my lair later, Crujo,'' Kuphulu said. He walked ahead of his companion.
Crujo drooled before he took the bag and ran.
Viktoria gasped and scowled. ''Never take candy from me!'' she muttered.
Crujo ate every last bit of candy. After dropping the empty bag, he followed Kuphulu again. *At least I obtained supper* he thought.
Crujo turned his head after he heard footsteps. *Nothing but absolute darkness. Scout is not near the shops.*
Crujo and Kuphulu gasped after Scout ran out of darkness.
Scout arrested Kuphulu and his partner in crime.
''Why are you arresting us?'' Crujo snarled.
''You stole something, Crujo. Kuphulu is a repeat offender,'' Scout said.
''I never stole anything!'' Crujo exclaimed.
Viktoria appeared before she scowled at Crujo.
''Oh. Candy,'' Crujo muttered.
''I heard the canary's song after she followed me,'' Scout informed Crujo. He took Kuphulu and Crujo far from Viktoria.
''Never take candy from me!'' Viktoria repeated while she grinned.
