Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Haunted Henry" from Season 5, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.

It was a moonlit night on the Island of Sodor. Henry was taking a goods train to the station by the lake.

"When the owls hoot, the mist rolls in." murmured Edward. "And there's a rumor that when there's a mist, there's a ghost! Be careful on the old line Henry!"

"Stupid owls!" said Henry as he puffed away.

"Edward's gone too soft in his boiler!" grumbled Henry "Things that go bump in the night! There's no mist!"

But Henry was wrong! The mist soon rolled in.

"What's that?" cried Henry, looking at a light.

"It's a amber lamp." said his driver. "That means we'll have to precede with caution."

Then, he heard something.

"Who's there?"
He crept slowly forward to see who it was.

Then, he saw a sign attached to a tree. The sign read.

BEWARE

OF THE

VIADUCT

The driver was surprised.

"No-one warned us about that before."

Then, the signal above turned from green to red, and the gates closed.

They soon saw a light flicker from inside the station's building.

"GHOST!" exclaimed Henry. "Edward was right!"

"Something very strange is happening." said the driver. "We must go back 'till this mist clears up."

Henry agreed, and puffed back towards the sheds.

The next morning, the mist had cleared, and Henry's driver was talking to some workmen about the unsafe viaduct.

"Lucky you didn't cross it last night." said a workman.

"But we don't know who warned us." replied Henry's driver.

That afternoon, Henry's driver spoke to him.

"We can cross the viaduct tonight." he said.

Henry didn't want to cross the viaduct though.

But as nighttime came, he felt much better.

Suddenly, he heard the owl's hoot again, then Gordon thundered by with the Express.

"Oh look! Henry's spooked!" said the freight cars.

"BE QUIET!" snapped Henry. "I'm not scared!"

But really, he was.

A little while later, the mist came down.

As they approached the viaduct, they saw the same amber light again.

"Here we go." said Henry's driver nervously.

Then, the gates closed by themselves again, and the signal turned red!

The freight cars were more spooked than Henry.

"Faster, faster, there's a ghost!" cried the freight cars.

But soon, Henry went right through the gates, and then he derailed into the old ravine!

Luckily, no one was hurt!

Just then, the driver noticed a mysterious figure going right past them.

"It's the fog-man!" cried the driver. "That's the mysterious ghost."

But the fog-man was very cross.

"You should have known better not to cross the viaduct!" he said.

"We're sorry." said the driver, "but can you at least help us?"
"Certainly." replied the fog-man

Henry was repaired, and soon, even the fog-man got his wish to operate the lakeside station again.

"I hope that this station will be really useful." said Sir Topham Hatt. "Let's give a big cheer for the new station!"

Everyone clapped and cheered, and Henry was the happiest of all!
