Aku Aku no more
The cold air bit harshly onto the remaining leafs of the trees on Wumpa Island. A rather odd building stood out among the forestation, failing to camouflage. Inside this building stood the friends that had been together since 1996 and whom had helped each other to rise up against Doctor Neo Cortex, Nina Cortex, N. Gin, The elementals and many other enemies and minions. But today's battle could not be won, even with the strong friendships that had risen above on many other occasions. This was not a fight that even the courageous Crash Bandicoot could overcome.
In a bedroom filled with light from the large window and colours of neutrality stood the friends. Crash, Coco, Crunch and even Polar were gathered in the room. Each of them stood around a single bed. Aku Aku was barely hovering above the sheets, his rotting face weak. Aku Aku coughed a few times, as the orange ears of each friend crumpled down in sadness.
" You have all been so wonderful to me." Aku Aku spoke, his wise voice sounding too quiet for his usual confident self.
" Crash, you've saved me on many occasions along side your very smart sister." Aku Aku spoke, followed by the outburst of tears from Coco. She turned into the chest of her big brother Crash, who hugged her in comfort. His eyes never left Aku Aku.
" And Cruch, I'm glad you had a change of heart. You are a part of this family and always should be." Aku Aku continued. His meaningful words pushed the strong Crunch over the edge, weeps of sadness releasing from inside of him. Aku Aku watched his friends, remembering all the adventures they had gone on together. Crash let go of his sister, whom ran into the muscular arms of Crunch. Then Crash slowly walked towards the side of the bed to say his own wordless goodbye.
