CHAPTER 1

Thunder crashed outside as the rain came pouring down in the depth of the night. A flash of light that brightend the sky startled a little ball of white and gray fur inside the Thunderclan nursery. Slowly lifting her head she saw her mother sound asleep next to her. The young kit closed her eyes and shoved herself into her mother's warm fur.

"Aw, don't worry Snowkit, it's only a little bit of rain." The she-cat soothed the kit and calmly licked her.

Snowkit nodded and mewled a small reply. Feeling a bit more realxed, the kit fell asleep to the snowy white, queen's reppetetve licks.

Day light shined though the nursery den enterance as Sonwkit awoke. Stiffleing a yawn she stood up and shook her self until her fur fluffed up. Growling sounds rummbled inside her as she realized she was hungery. "Mother, I'm hungery!" Snowkit pawwed her mother to wake her up.

"Hm? Uh, 'kay..." The white queen replyed, still half asleep.

"Blossomkit, Bumblekit, Brairkit, Why don't you be helpful and fetch Snowkit and Whitewing something from the freshkill pile?" Snowkit looked over at the voice and smiled at the gray she-cat, Millie. Millie groomed out her sleep-flat fur as the three older kits ran out.

Whitewing's nose twitched some as Mille's kits came in with a mouse. She pushed herself up and took a bit of it. "Thank you." Whitewing smiled at the three kits and bent down to eat more. Snowkit turned over to the mouse and too, started to eat from it.

As the white kit finished up she saw a butterfly flutter pass the den enterance. Lashing her tail she ran outside tp try and catch it. Snowkit jumped up multiple times and fallowed it around the clearing until she bumped into wall barrier of speckled gray fur. Getting up she recognized the pelt of her father. "Hello Ashfur." Snowkit greeted the seinor warrior happily.

"Hmph. Be more cautious of where you play Snowkit. I don't want everycat to be tripping over your tail because you'r playing some nonsence game." Ashfur spoke to the kit. Looking away from her he rested his gaze on Squirrelflight and her mate, Brambleclaw.

"Yes, Ashfur. Sorry, Ashfur. I'll be more carful." She dipped her head and turned away. Dissipointed she lost her 'prey'.
