Hey-hi everyone! I must speak some quick news first! Well my internet is back! :D But now my laptop is broken and it contains all my stories! T^T So I wanted to tell everyone while also submitting something but since all my work is on my yet to be fixed computer I wrote this on my old desktop. This is based off the the latest episode which I finally saw through annoyingly slow means on this computer. This reminds me of my other Sym-Bionic story but oh well! Also I plan on writing another chapter for A Late Night Visit but I need to wait till my laptop is fixed. I apologize for the long note but here you go!

Stage Presence
"Don't make a big deal, you don't have to go."
I meant that, but of course she didn't listen. Standing backstage I could hear the loud voices of our peers and honking of their cars. My eyes widened at the scene before me.
"Why are all these people here?"
"There's a crowd!"
That's exactly what I wanted to know. I knew that I was a bit more popular than Ilana and Octus at school but I wasn't expecting this.
Peeking over the stage top there was a weird sensation inside me. Is this what they mean by butterflies in your stomach? Back on the battlefield you had no time to feel nervous not with the bullets flying and your comrades falling left and right. If you even hesitated that would mean death. How could I, a Corporal of the Royal Elite Guard, be afraid of something so insignificant?
The over-zealous teenagers in front of me were chattering excitedly, preparing for the show just as I should. The other guys where standing there calm as could be acting as if this was no big deal and I suppose it was for them. As for me well I'm just surprised I haven't broken any strings while trying to tune my guitar. I would occasionally glance over at the others as if waiting for reassurance that everything would be okay, silence was my answer.
A cough snapped me out of my thoughts as I was signaled to get ready. Nodding we made our way to the stage. The screech of a microphone silenced the crowd and lights shone down illuminating the dark park. I gulped feeling the stares of my band-mates knowing that they were directed at me. Looking around I was comforted to see the faces of Ilana and Octus who were standing front row.
People shouted already which stumped me, as so far the only thing we did was step on stage. I couldn't mull over this for too long as I heard the drums begin, cuing the rest of us to play. Giving a deep breath I let my fingers work. The sound each cord made as my hand passed over them, it was magical.
My face showed no emotion as the only thing I could concentrate on was the music flowing around me. I remembered when I first heard the music and thinking it was beautiful. The melancholy voice that spoke its true feelings definitively called out to me. I loved it and was slightly relieved that I wasn't off fighting aliens. Jumping off into action I doubt I could take another step back onto that wooden platform. It barely registered in my mind that we were done playing. All I could see were the flashing red lights above, most likely from Titan, and hear the cheers around us. I released the breath I didn't realize I was holding. Only one thing went through my mind,
'Amazing.'
"Your out of the band."
I was confused.
Did I not play well enough? Did it matter who listened to our music? Why was it bad to be a popular and well liked band? I'm not sure what I did wrong.
I only wanted to play.
