Author's Note: Just a quick note here. I wasn't originally going to do a story to this song as I think in some ways it is a sad song but when I was listening to it earlier a story came to mind and it wouldn't let go. Hence why I went ahead and wrote this story.
Disclaimer: I do not own Criminal Minds or It's Not Over.
Song Title Prompt: It's Not Over by Daughtry
Aaron was blown out of the water once he realized what he was feeling for his subordinate. He couldn't believe that he had went and fallen in love again. What in the world was he going to do? He didn't want to love her but he couldn't stop himself from loving her.
For the next couple of hours he pondered what to do. He knew that he couldn't keep his feelings hidden for forever and nor did he really want too. As he saw her getting up from her desk he pulled out his cell phone and sent her a quick text. He held his breath as he watched out his office window and saw that she was pulling out her cell phone. He smiled when he saw her eyebrows furrow as she looked up at his office. His heart started thumping faster as she started walking towards his office.
He motioned for her to shut the door once she was in his office and he cleared his throat. "I know that you were getting ready to leave Emily but I had to talk to you. I need to tell you that I am in love with you."
Aaron held his breath as he saw something flare in Emily's eyes and then he was shocked when she said "Is this some kind of joke? Did somebody tell you that I was in love with you and you had to play it out and make yourself look good? This conversation is over."
As Emily started to turn back towards his office door he gripped her arm and turned her towards him and said "It's not over Emily. Nobody told me that you were in love with me. I just realized today that I am in love with you. I don't want to hide my feelings and I don't want to run away from my feelings. I love you and I want you."
Emily looked up and saw everything that Aaron was feeling in his eyes. She finally smiled at him and stepped towards him and then pulled his head down so that she could kiss him. She poured everything she felt and everything she wanted to say into t he kiss she gave him. She couldn't believe that she was getting her dream and that she about ruined it all in one go.
