Hehe, my Naruto fic. Please note this takes place somewhere in the first part, starting at the Chuunin exams.

Chuunin Exams

Many teams entered the room containing the first part of the three-part Chuunin exams. One particular team rushed to see what was going on, a raven haired girl leading them.

"Kanu, Miyuko, wait up!" cried a black haired boy coming after the two.

"There's a lot of Genins here from so many villages!" Miyuko exclaimed, flicking back some of her red white highlighted hair. The raven haired girl, Kanu, nodded in agreement.

"That's true, Miyuko," answered a taller woman, the Jounin of the team. She smiled at her team's antics, arriving behind the boy.

"Nankuro, you're so slow," commented Miyuko, looking at him with her ocean blue eyes. Nankuro shot back with a glare from his black eyes and a remark.

"At least I can do better ninjutsu than you, and I'm only ten!"

"You wanna start something?!" Miyuko raised her fist, showing she was all then ready for a fight.

"Yeah!" The two approached each other, glaring fire into the others' eyes. The Jounin got in front of the two, separating them.

"You should probably save your energy for the exams. You'll need it, trust me."

"Fine, Shisuke-sensei," Miyuko mumbled. She backed away. Kanu laughed.

"I guess there's still going to be a rivalry on this team—Oof!" She had backed away too far, slamming into somebody. She turned to see who it was.

"Sorry…" Her green eyes widened. 'It…can't be…!'

"Watch where you're going next time," the boy told her, shrugging her off. Kanu still watched him as he left to arrive with his teammates. A pink-haired girl cried his name, signaling where they were.

"Sasuke! Over here!" 'Sasuke?!' Kanu backed away as Sasuke walkedtowards his team.

"Kanu?" Miyuko asked, seeing her friend's disbelief expression. She tapped the girl on the shoulder, and Kanu turned. Miyuko watched her, her instincts telling her something was wrong. Her ocean blue eyes narrowed; as she prepared to speak, however, she was cut short with Shisuke ushering them in.

"Anyway, good luck to the three of you." With a wave and a smile, Shisuke disappeared, leaving the three Genin in a room-full of other Genin waiting to take the Chuunin Exams. It was a giant mass of people awaiting the proctor to the exam. The room was abuzz with chatter of the shinobi from different villages and countries, on current events and what the challenges the other shinobi would cause.

"Sasuke-sama…" Kanu muttered, turning around to find him.

"Who?" Miyuko asked. "This 'Sasuke'? Who're they?"

"It's nothing you need to worry about, Miyuko." Miyuko arched an eyebrow.

"Really…?" Before Miyuko could get her pending answer Kanu left her, walking into an area where a silver-haired Genin was showing of status cards. A boy with an uncaring look on his face stared at the cards; he was standing next to a ninja dressed in orange and blue. Kanu smiled, walking over to meet the team.

"Sasuke-sama!" she cried, hoping to catch the boy's attention. He turned to face her.

"Yeah, what?"

"Sasuke-sama, don't you remember…?" Kanu's face was saddened as his black eyes stared upon her.

"No, who're you?" He kept staring at the silver-haired Genin, now seeing some Sound ninja approach him.

"I'm Kanu Minamoto…"

Okay, not that interesting, I know (and it's short), but it'll get better in future chapters (I hope!)
