So I'm asking anyone that reads this to please go easy on me. I haven't written creatively in at least two years, but recently the bug bit me and I've had this idea in my head. It's inspired by Keith Urban's song Cop Car.
"Killian Jones! You wait until Liam hears about this stunt you pulled tonight." He openly winced at the sheriff's tone, but glanced sideways at the blonde who had started the whole predicament in the first place. She was hell on heels that one, and made sure the whole town knew it. Emma Swan sat with her head resting against the seat in front of her. She was giving him a lazy grin while Graham was chewing him a new one.
"Aw, come on Graham! Let us go, we do this same old song and dance at least once a month. Tell you what, you take these handcuffs off and I'll share a smoke with you."
Killian couldn't help the small chuckle that slipped past his lips. Graham, at this point, was done with the blonde's wild antics and gave her a disapproving look before slamming the door in her face. She laughed loudly and turned to Killian. She gave him a brilliant smile before leaning over and pecking him on his cheek.
"You're a good kid Killian, I'm sorry I got you into trouble." Her eyes were still shining brightly from their adventure into Madame Mayor's apple orchard, but they also held a small amount of guilt in them. She had gotten carried away, and he'd loved every minute of her free spiritedness. They talked softly to one another, giggling at the memory of Regina's shocked face peering out of her bedroom window to see the two picking apples off of her prized tree. It was a matter of minutes before two more cars pulled up along side of the cruiser.
"Bloody hell Graham! You actually called Liam?" Killian glanced at Emma, who was nervously biting her lip while staring at the brown pickup that had pulled up. David Nolan stepped out and frowned at the back window. Emma hunkered down and gave Killian a look that clearly screamed, 'oh shit!' Killian grinned boyishly, the great Emma Swan did have a weakness, she was terrified of her father, not that David or Mary Margaret were mean people, the exact opposite actually, and the thought of disappointing them was something she couldn't bear to think about.
"Emma, if we survive this, I'd like to take you out to dinner, or something unbearably awkward like that." Killian's blue eyes sparkled brilliantly, and Emma couldn't help leaning over to kiss him soundly on the lips. "I think I'd actually love awkward Jones."
They were both still grinning widely as Graham took the cuffs off. David sighed softly and pointed to the truck, while Liam frowned at Killian and shoved him toward their car.
Graham shook his head and watched the two pull off, he needed coffee, and quite possibly a doughnut. Granny's had both. That and a leggy brunette with a tendency to wear really short shorts.
