It is an ironic twist of fate that what it is.
How can it be that you are my enemy? You were the first person who made me feel less alone in this world. Even though I had my friends who were like brothers to me with me.
They didn't understand me in the same way that you could. You were the only other one that I've met who can see the light.
You know the horrors of being able to see the light. You hear the voices and have the nightmares about the land of Etro like I can.
Perhaps that is part of the reason why I am attracted to you. You are the only one who knows what I'm going through.
Now we are force to fight. With our runes shinning brightly behind us as we summon our blades. I know that this isn't going to be an easy fight.
Despite your somewhat innocent appearance. I know that you have cut down many soldier's that stood in your way.
But even if we are both skilled warriors I know that there is another reason why this is battle is so hard. Even though we are pretty much equals in skill.
It's because in the short amount of time I spent with you on that night so long ago. Years ago it seems like.
I had slowly started to see you a friend. Even if it was only five minutes that we spoke to each other. I know that you fee the same, because even if its only for a moment. I saw something in your eyes before you summon your rapier.
Sadness, Guilt.
Maybe all of these is just a cruel sense of fate. A fate that I wish I can change.
