"No, Tony. Dont apologize just stay with me!"
Steve slowly shuffled across the grassy trail, a path he had memorized over the past three days. His heart clenched, eyes set on a particular spot nestled on the far side of the fenced-in field.
"I couldn't…stop…him…"
"You tried your best, Tony. It's okay, you will get another chance!"
Steve finally stopped in front of a large marble stone, the sun reflecting lazily off the smooth surface. He felt his eyes sting, watering with unbearable emotion that had gripped him since three days ago.
"Tony? Tony! Dont close your eyes just stay with me!"
"I…love…you…"
Steve fell to his knees, a sob escaping his lips as he pressed his forehead against the cool marble, hand tracing over the engraved name of his lover.
