She is the Rainbow
Natsu sat on a hill, looking up at the rainbow that had appeared in front of him. It reminded him of a certain nakama of his. This nakama was in fact, at this very moment, collecting wood for a fire for the evening. They had just finished their job and decided to take their time on the way back to the guild. He looked out over the valley where they had finished their mission and smiled.
He looked back up at the rainbow as his thoughts turned to her.
Her lips are cherries: Sweet, soft and red.
She is a tiger lily: Sweet, strong, soothing, and orange.
Her hair is the sun: Bright, glowing, warm, and yellow.
These thoughts floated through his head as he went through the colours of the rainbow.
She is the leaves on the trees: Gentle, fragile, green.
The ribbon in her hair: it's always blue, like her favourite colour, he noticed
She was a celestial spirit mage: connected to the stars, the night sky coloured indigo.
Her letters: they were always written in violet ink.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard her sit down beside him.
"What 'cha looking at?" she asked as she followed his gaze. "Oh! A rainbow! How beautiful!" she said smiling, she grin as big and as bright as the sun.
"Yeah, it is." Natsu replied. Just like you. He almost blurted out but caught himself before anything could come out.
She looked at him quizzically. "What were you going to say?" she asked.
"Uhh… Nothing…"
"Natsu" she whined. "What were you going to say? I want to know!"
Natsu inhaled deeply, and then sighed. He turned to face her.
"Fine… I was just going to say that you reminded me of the rainbow" Natsu replied slowly, quietly even, as he looked back up at the sky, hoping that she wouldn't see the hint of pink on his cheeks.
Unfortunately for Natsu, she did. She smiled at him and took his hand, and she too looked up at the beautiful rainbow overhead.
