James Sirius was the most entertaining, bad boy, 11 year old prankster the world has seen. He was named after the two best pranksters of an era, whereas his best friend slash cousin was named after the two best of another era, Fred George Weasley. Their third best friend wasn't named after any mega pranksters, much to her amusement.
Her name was Amelia Scamander, daughter of Rolf and Luna Scamander. At first, some of James' cousins had considered her an outcast. James had found her intriguing. She could change her appearance at will, just like his godbrother, Teddy.
James, Amelia and Fred made the best pranking trio the world had seen, and James couldn't wait to unleash his awesomeness at Hogwarts.
"You're hopeless," Fred said, snickering. "You'll never find a wand." James frowned. He wasn't sure he was even going to be allowed to attend Hogwarts without a wand.
"Fred," Aunt Angelina scolded. "He'll find his wand. Some people just take longer than others."
"Besides," Amelia cut in. "I still haven't found one ye- It worked!"
"Wonderful, dear," Ollivander the really old wand maker said. "Chestnut, 14 inches, unicorn hair, slightly bendy, perfect for Charms." James grunted. He really wasn't going to find a wand. The wand maker handed him another wand. "No? Try this one, though I doubt it will work. I've made it years ago. Doesn't choose anyone, I suppo-
"Yes!" James exclaimed. "I can go to Hogwarts." Harry chuckled and ruffled his son's hair.
"My, my," Ollivander said, gazing at James. "What a special boy indeed… Lots of bravery, lots of bravery…"
"Er…" James wasn't sure how to respond. Suddenly, the wand in his hand felt heavy.
"Oak, 13 inches, dragon heartsting, hard. This wand has chosen your son, Mr. Potter. This wand happens to be meant for the bravest and the most daring, perfect for Defense work. You are going to be a very brave boy, James. I already know your fate during the Sorting. Such a father's boy…"
James didn't know if that was a good thing or bad thing. His father's life wasn't exactly cheerful, but he felt proud, proud and brave. He was going to use this wand for defense. He wanted to be a hero.
Eleven year old James Sirius was going to be a prankster, that's for sure, but he was also going to be a hero, just like his dad.
He was a brave person.
