(this is kinda the pilot to the story, but the shows pilot would not fit, as nobody has future vision. So I chose to make it a day with baby Steven and the Crystal gems. Think of it as an introduction to the Crystal gems and their personality.)
"Lapis! Steven is crying again!" a voice with a hint of destress calls out, followed by a groan "Peridot, I thought you said you could handle watching Steven. But you yell my name every time he cries." The green gem tumbles over her words "I-I know but…" a sigh escapes the blue gems lips "Smell his diaper, then you'll know what is wrong." Peridot sputters "No way I'm doing that! I'll just feed him and clean his diaper!" Lapis laughs "You don't even know how to clean him."
Peridot walks down, Steven in her arms "Be happy I don't throw him in the air when he cries." She picks up the bottle Lapis made when she heard that Peridot was watching Steven, Lapis shrugs "I guess, I need to talk about that with Jasper." As if she could hear them talking, Jasper warps in holding a orange bubble in her hand, but when she sees Steven, she taps the bubble and walks to Peridot "Did Greg leave Steven with us again, I don't get why he is scared of human babies, he was one too once."
Peridot hands Steven to Lapis "I think Yellow diamond told us why once, something about babysitting for a friend, then ferris wheels, and finally flying with the baby?" Lapis nods "Yeah, pretty sure that was it." "La! La!" Lapis looks down at the young boy in her arms "What is it Steven? The youngest member of the Crystal gems blows a few bubbles "La! La! La… ma!" the three full gems look confused "What is he saying?" Peridot asks "I think he is trying to say Lama?" Steven smiles up at Lapis "La-pi ma-ma!" Peridot lets out a gasp, Lapis looks at Steven with stars in her eyes, and Jasper looks at him in surprise, Steven was not concerned by that at all and just tries to stich more words together
"Lapi ma-ma! Peri pa-pa! Ja sis!" Jasper lets out a chuckle "At least we know what we are to Steven now." Peridot groans "Great… Greg leaves him with us so much that he started to see me as his father.. Wait! Why does he see the biggest of us as his sister?" Lapis holds Steven up in the air "I don't know, and I don't care! He sees me as his mother!" suddenly her twirling and laughing stops "Wait… if he sees me as his mother… Jasper as his sister… and Peridot as his father… " "NO!" Peridot yells as she runs out of the temple, Jasper chasing after her, calling out with a childish voice "Daddy Peridot! I'm hungry!" Lapis laughs and turns back to Steven "I guess even the most innocent angels make chaos sometimes. Anyway, back in the crib you go. Good night Steven." After tucking Steven in she follows Peridot and Jasper "Now to see what ruckus those two are causing now…"
