Cara & Raf - Look After You
Part one
Raf came out of surgery his usual smile on his face making Cara smile warmly back at Raf,
"Went well I take it?"
"Of course. You ever doubt me?!" Raf jokes making them both laugh lightly before Cara stops and looks straight at him making Raf blush slightly from the intensity,
"Never for a second" they stare at each other for what was a moment before Cara walks away smiling happily making Raf struggling to compose himself which did not go unnoticed by Fletch,
"Oh mate what is all that about?!" Raf shakes it off trying to act cool but Fletch could see that Raf was shaken and understandably so!
"I don't know what your rambling on about but I have work to be getting on with!" Fletch watches his best mate walk off as fletch frowns with concern. Later on that morning Raf enters the locker room to find A startled looking Cara sat on the bench crying,
"Cara? You okay?" Raf asks concerned as he sits beside her,
"I'm fine. Just had a letter through from the prison...Jed wants to see me" Raf shock his head in disbelief why couldn't he leave her alone?! If he truly loved her he would let her live her life!
"Are you going to go?" Raf asks preying that she wouldn't want too but knowing that this wasn't really his place,
"No not really. But I think that I should just tell him face to face to leave me alone...I just don't know I can do this on my own?" Raf saw a flicker of fear in Cara's eyes which he had never seen before which made him realise just how fragile she is right now,
"We will go after work"
"We? Wait no I wasn't hinting...not after what he did..."
"I insist. Besides I know what it's like saying goodbye to someone you love" Cara nods her head placing her hand into his making Raf look down in surprise before smiling warmly,
"It'll be fine Cara. I promise you that I will make sure that you come out of this stronger" Cara smiles warmly feeling touched and lucky to have Raf in her life,
"I know you will. Thank you Raf for being my rock...it means a lot you know"
At the end of his shift Raf waited behind for Cara while the others went to the pub,
"Hey" Cara says as she leaves the ward slightly surprised to see Raf waiting for her,
"Hey just wanted to see if you were joining the others?" Cara shook her head,
"Not really Upto socialising to be honest"
"I know the feeling. Well how bout we hang out at mine I could cook us something? Come on what you say?" Cara laughs lightly as she rolls her eyes,
"Go on then you!" Raf smiles widely as he offers out his arm which Cara takes as they walk side by side out the hospital both unaware that they were being watched.
