A large monitor sits on the wall, displaying a panoramic view of the known universe. The image is replaced by text, being typed onto the screen.
"Ladies and gentlemen", a synthesized voice announces in conjunction with the text, "I am pleased to announce the success of our current efforts. The colonization program will continue uninterrupted on other worlds, and with no further delays anticipated. The worm-like parasites that we have named Zygos Reptans have been quarantined above the planet Tau Ceti III in the colony ship Joyeuse, and specimens are currently on science deck for study. It is unknown if the creatures accompanying them are members of the same species, or different hosts."
"The situation on the Joyeuse remains at a standstill. The infestation has compromised most of the ship, but the BoBs (Born on Board.) cannot be removed in the current state."
"We await contact with the AIs, Zeroth and Phobos, on the colony, so we can assess the full extent of the damage."

The Joyeuse. Another of humanity's valiant attempts at spreading out among the stars... thought Phobos.
