Another story about the ending of the movie. The emotions are something that Edward doesn't understand too well. But if he understood them, would he be more human? The summary is stupid, just read it, and, PLEASE, review, if you like it.

Edward never cried. Even when his father, the inventor, had died, even when Kim cheated him into doing something very wrong and because of that, the whole town started to hate him, not a single tear escaped his eye. He just didn't understand those emotions, being some kind of machine. Edward was unfinished not only by his scissor hands; he was emotionally incomplete. The inventor has explained only the good feelings and moods to him, thinking that while in the mansion, he might not experience the bad ones. He would be safe forever in his own world of happiness, days passing by slowly and calmly.

But although he was a robot (or used to be, he didn't really know), that didn't mean he had no feelings at all. Of course, he felt something. Especially the sorrow. The word felt strange on his tongue when he pronounced it, it seemed so...unnatural. And yet he knew that this feeling was the key to being human.

Could I really be human after all?

Again, he didn't know. It felt like standing behind the closed door, knowing that he had a key somewhere but he couldn't remember where he'd put it. He felt so confused. There were many options and chances that he has never embraced – some hidden things in his mind that maybe even the inventor didn't know about. Maybe he was just scared to unlock them. He has always feared that there might be something worse than physical pain – and the short time he lived in the town has proved that his fears weren't pointless.

When being sad, there was usually the sharp pain in his chest, a sudden feeling like someone has squeezed his throat. In those moments, he wasn't able to think clearly. But if this was how it felt to be a real human being, Edward wouldn't be so sure if he wanted to be one of them.

He watched her as she ran from the dark manor on the hill, probably leaving him and all of their common past behind. What did he say before she left?

Goodbye.

A dry chuckle, so unlike the slight smiles he used to give, escaped his throat. Yes, „goodbye". I should have said I love her, I should have told her that I forgive her everything, ask HER to forgive me...I didn't. I just said „goodbye".

He looked around the devastated mansion. Perhaps it's better this way. We're too different. Our worlds are different.

Edward turned around and walked away from the window, giving her one last look...and a silent promise. I will keep an eye on you. I will remind you every year that I am here, still in love with you, although I've never told you. And Kim seemed to understand, a brief smile crossed her lips. She nodded...and then she was gone, walking down the road.

The dust on the floor of the mansion stirred, just once. Edward didn't know why until he noticed that his cheek felt wet...and that on the wooden floor, a single tear glistened. He touched his face carefully with his scissor finger and smiled. I may see you again one day, Kim.
