Chapter 1

Natsu was sitting at the gravestone he built for Lisanna at the hut they built when they cared for the egg that later became the blue cat 'Happy'. He was thinking about how he would improve as a mage, he wanted to become stronger to prevent any other of his friends getting hurt.

He decided he would travel for a while and train himself to become at least S-Class level. Natsu wanted to test his limits and train himself until he drops. When he's doing that he can't bring anyone else along.

Natsu got up and ran to his home to find Happy his companion, a blue cat that could fly and talk. After getting Happy he was heading towards the guild to have a talk with Makarov about his decision to leave the guild for a while.

At Makarov's office inside of the Fairy Tail guild

Makarov sat at his desk going through some paperwork which consisted mostly of complaints about various guild members doing this and that. Makarov threw the papers in the trash, thinking 'To hell with the council and their rules'

He was about to take his morning beer when he heard someone knocking on his door. Who else could be up this early in the morning other than himself he wondered.

"Come in" Makarov said loud enough for the person outside to hear.

The door opened and in came Natsu Dragneel and Happy, Natsu looked determined and serious.

"What are you doing up this early Natsu?" Makarov asked.

Natsu sat down in the chair in front of Makarov's desk and said "I have something I need to talk to you about"

Makarov raised his eyebrow "Oh?"

"I want to leave the guild for a while, I want to get stronger, train myself so I can protect my nakama in the future"

Makarov sat there thinking for a moment. Natsu going out to see the world and train himself would certainly not be a bad thing. He also wanted Natsu to return soon so he wouldn't get too distanced with the guild members.

Makarov made up his mind and said "Six months"

Natsu then raised an eyebrow "Six months?"

Makarov nodded and said "I will allow it, but you'll have to return in six months"

Natsu stood up and had a huge grin and cheered "Great! Thanks Gramps! See you in six months"

Makarov stared at the leaving Natsu and thought 'I hope I made the right choice..'

One hour later

Natsu Dragneel had just walked out of Magnolia heading out for a training trip. He had talked with Makarov earlier and they agreed that he could go away for six months maximum. The reason Natsu wanted to train and get stronger was so he could protect his fellow guild members and prevent anything to happen the same way like one year ago when Lisanna died.

Another reason was that he was tired of being considered at the same level as "The Popsicle" or "Ice queen", Natsu had many nicknames for his rival Gray. But the main reason Natsu wanted to get stronger was because he wanted to impress the woman he liked, the strongest woman in Fairy Tail.

Natsu and his partner Happy - a blue cat that could fly – were walking on a dirt road north of Magnolia heading into a forest nearby that could have various magic monsters in it that Natsu could fight against.

Just as they were entering the forest they heard a loud yell coming from above them "SASUKEHH! I WILL GET YOU FOR THIS! I DON'T KNOW WHEN, I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT... BELIEVE IT" A blond guy with whisker marks on his cheeks wearing orange and black clothes yelled as he fell from the sky. The blond had been sent away to another world by Uchiha Sasuke's ocular powers the sharingan and rinnegan during their final battle after the war.

Next to him was another guy with dark hair wearing an orange hat with a skull on it and brown shorts, he wore nothing to cover his upper body. The latter was badly injured with a big fist sized hole in his stomach and Natsu was wondering if the guy was even alive. The hat wearing half naked guy had just been in a war as well and to everyone in his world he was thought to be dead.

The guys falling from the sky was Uzumaki Naruto and Portgas D Ace. Naruto easily landed on his feet even after that high fall thanks to his ninja training. Ace barely managed to turn himself into fire just as he hit the ground but that was all that he was able to do before he passed out.

"Oi!" Natsu yelled up to Ace and checked the wound "Are you okay man?"

"Of course he's not okay, he has a hole in his stomach!" Happy yelled flying above them panicking.

Naruto was standing next to them as well but he was unable to move right now because as soon as he saw Natsu he froze and lost all the color in his face and just pointed at him.

'Do you mock me.. Sasuke, dattebayo?' Naruto thought 'Is this some cruel genjutsu you have put me in?' the reason Naruto had these thoughts was because of Natsu's appearance. A spikey pink haired cheerful loudmouth, this was how he imagined his and Sakura's son would look like. Naruto forgot about this misfortune when he saw Ace "Are you okay dattebayo?!" he yelled as he rushed towards him pushing Natsu away from Ace.

"Hey what the fuck did you do that for, bastard!" Natsu yelled as he jumped up on his feet. He saw that Naruto was now glowing yellow.

Naruto choose to ignore Natsu while Happy spoke "Wow he is healing"

"What, let me see" Natsu said and took a closer look at the wound "Wow, how did you do that?"

Naruto stopped using 'Biju Mode' and instead of answering Naruto stared at Happy and raised an eyebrow "A blue cat that flies and talks? Good one, Sasukehh!" Naruto then reached for a scroll that he had in a pocket on the inside of his orange jacket. It was a small red book titled "Icha Icha Paradise: Volume 1" that he began to read after sitting down under a tree close to Ace.

"Hey don't ignore me!" Natsu yelled at Naruto who sat in the shades giggling as he read.

"Cat" Naruto spoke quietly "Please tell the pink haired abomination to stop bother me"

"Aye! Natsu stop bothering the dude"

Natsu couldn't believe what he was hearing "Happy! What the fuck man!?"

"Argh!" Ace whined out in pain as he woke up and held his stomach.

Naruto took a quick peak towards Ace and spoke quietly again "You shouldn't move around for a while.. tebayo" before returning to his book.

"Thanks for helping me guys" Ace said and attempted to reach for his hat that had landed one meter away from him with his right hand "Eh guys, can you help me here?"

"Sure what can I do?" Natsu said as Ace pointed at the hat "Get me that will you?"

"Okay" Natsu did as Ace asked and as soon as he picked it up he noticed that it was a big heavy for a normal hat. After Natsu gave the hat to Ace, Ace reached inside of it and took out a sake bottle that he drank quickly.

"Yeah that's the stuff"

Naruto just smiled as he saw that, thinking 'That's something I have to try dattebayo' as he had never drank any alcohol before in his life.

Natsu got a tic mark above his eye as he saw them "Whatever freaks" he said and turned around "Come on Happy we are leaving"

"Aye sir!" Happy saluted running after his partner.

"Wait a second dattebayo" Naruto said as he put his Icha Icha book down while Natsu turned around answering "What is it?"

"Could you tell me where I am an how I get back to Konoha from here?"

Ace nodded towards Naruto "I was wondering where we are as well"

"Don't you know anything?" Natsu asked with a grin "We are just outside of Magnolia, just follow the trail that way" he pointed towards where he came from earlier "You can hop on a train there to get to other towns"

"Natsu what is a Konoha?" Happy asked while munching on a fish.

"How should I know?" Natsu said turning his head towards the blue cat "Hey where did you get that?" referring to the fish, he wanted one as well.

"Not telling" Happy said in a teasing tone.

"Magnolia? Never heard of it, how do I get to fire country from here?" Naruto asked interrupting Natsu and Happy's fish fight that was about to start.

"Hell should I know?" Natsu said with a shrug "This country is called Fiore. Now I need to go you two have already delayed me to long, what if Erza finds out I left? She might already be after us" Natsu expression changed into fear as he finished talking.

"Lets go Happy!" Natsu screamed "AYE!" Happy answered.

"Oi Oi wait!" Ace said as he stood up holding his stomach "You seem to know your way around here, do you mind if I travel with you guys for a while?"

"That's fine" Natsu answered quickly waving him towards him "But we need to go now before she finds us" Natsu had a look of despair on his face.

"Do you have some kind of monster chasing you?" Ace asked with raised eyebrow as he caught up to Natsu.

"Aye!" Happy answered quickly.

"No, just Erza" Natsu answered giving Happy a an angry look.

"A girl?" Ace asked.

"Yes.." Natsu answered slowly "But not just any girl, she is.." he was interrupted by Naruto who had run passed them now standing in front of them "A red head" Naruto said "Right?"

Natsu looked at him wide eyed "How did you know?"

Naruto lost all the color in his face as he answered "They are all crazy dattebayo!"

They had began walking again for a while before Ace asked "So are you coming with us?" Natsu and Happy were also interested as they all three turned to Naruto who nodded "Yes at least until I know how to get back to Konoha"

That was how the three of them met for the first time. The first month they traveled together they got to know each other better. Natsu had been able to become great friends with Ace while he was starting to hate Naruto. Naruto had changed every day since they met, he had gone nuts. It started with him drinking one beer, after that Naruto wouldn't stop insulting Natsu or stop drinking for that matter.

Natsu had been so pissed of he started drinking himself, he found out that he could easily out-drink Naruto which was something that pissed Naruto off even more. Natsu and Ace could out-drink everyone, their alcohol tolerance was inhuman.

Naruto had commented on how Natsu became a pervert when he was drunk, something that Natsu of course did not believe. Natsu only played when he was drunk and if the girls wanted to play with him so be it, Naruto was just jealous is all, Natsu thought. Natsu was right about Naruto being jealous of every girl they met showing affection towards Natsu just like a certain raven haired rival back home.. But Naruto was right about Natsu becoming a pervert.

Naruto was always perverted and made no effort in hiding it. He had even began peeking at women at bath houses and other places where they were lightly clothed. He even got inspiration from his peeking for his book he started writing, the continuation of Icha Icha, which would be a new book in Earthland.

Then there was Ace the average pervert, he had also no problem showing his perverted side, especially when drunk. He was not as bad as Naruto or Natsu when drunk but he had his moments. Sometimes Ace would just go up to a woman and lift up her skirt to use it as napkin to clean his face. Convenient.

A Friday morning about a month after Natsu left Magnolia, they are now in the capital of Fiore: Crocus

Natsu woke up in a hotel room with two beds, in the other bed was Naruto still sleeping. This was unusual because normally Ace would be using the second bed and Natsu would have to make do with the floor. Why hadn't Ace thrown him on the floor this night? Where the hell was he.

"Hey blond bastard" Natsu yelled as he threw his pillow on Naruto's head.

"Shut up will you?" Naruto said as he used the pillow to cover the back of his head to block out Natsu.

"Where is Ace?" Natsu asked.

"How should I know?" Naruto asked with a glare showing his face under the pillow "But you better go find him because we are training in ninjutsu in an hour"

"I know" Natsu answered quickly "Nin nin" he said doing a hand sign. Natsu then ran out of the hotel room before Naruto could kill him with his "Rasengan".

Happy had joined Natsu as he walked through the streets of Crocus. When he walked passed a house he heard what must have been a couple arguing.

'Weird' Natsu thought since it was still early in the morning. Natsu glanced up at the window and what do you know there was Ace, climbing out of it. Ace jumped down from the window and ran towards Natsu, a second later an older man with brown hair and a large beard came out of the front door.

"Come back here! I will kill you!" The man shouted as he raised his fist before chasing after them.

Natsu run after Ace away from the crazy old man then asked when he caught up "Why are we running from him?"

Ace laughed a little "Don't worry about it" he figured that explaining to Natsu that he had screwed the mans wife would be pointless since Natsu wouldn't understand it anyway.

"Let's just say he didn't appreciate the way I and his wife played last night" Ace said with a perverted smile on his face "Ohoho" he laughed as he remembered last night.

"Yeah I can relate to that" Natsu said with a snicker which caught Ace's attention "Whenever I play a little rough with Gray, Erza always gets mad" referring to his and Gray's many fights due to their rivalry.

"Oh good for you Natsu" Ace said and slapped him on the back thinking that Natsu had two girls fighting over him back home.

They ran towards an open grass field outside of the town where Naruto was already waiting for them.

Naruto stood with his arms crossed staring them down "You're late"

"Yeah sorry about that" Ace said scratching his head.

"So how did you meet that blonde lady huh, Ace?" Naruto asked with a grin.

Ace narrowed his eyes at him "How do you know about that? Did you spy on me again?"

Naruto's eyes twitched as he answered "Who would spy on you? HUH?" he said throwing his face right in front of Ace's.

Ace sweatdropped "If I find out you have written down the details again I will burn you"

"As if you could" Naruto said quickly before starting the ninja lesson. Ace, Natsu and somewhat Happy were already able to use chakra, now they were working on their control with Naruto's help. Naruto wanted to teach them chakra control to help them complete missions easier in the future since being able to run up walls and walk on water is pretty convenient.

If either Ace or Natsu would like to learn more in the ninja arts after they had decent chakra control, Naruto would team them.

After training they went to a small bar in crocus, the husband of the blonde that Ace had screwed last night found them. It ended with Ace burning down the whole bar before running out of town with his friends following after. This was just the start of their adventure and the first bar they burned down.

Three months had passed since Natsu left Magnolia. Today just like many other days you could read in the magazines about Natsu and his "henchmen" latest party night. Yesterday before Natsu and the others had gone to bed - or sleep on the floor in Natsu's case – Natsu had decided to get some payback on Naruto. Naruto had ridiculed him during spars and done countless of harmless but very annoying pranks on Natsu.

Yesterday in a hotel room in a small town near the Blue Pegasus guild

Naruto and Ace were snoring loudly as they had one bed each to sleep in. Natsu was laying on his back with his arms behind his head. He heard Naruto mumble in his sleep something that he did regurarly and decided that now was the time to get some payback. Natsu charged Naruto with a fire covered fist. Just as he reached Naruto's bed Naruto sat up in his bed and slammed a "RASENGAN!" (Spiralling Sphere) in Natsu's stomach with a yell before laying down again snoring as if nothing happened.

'Damnit!' Natsu thought as he held his stomach he should have accounted for that, Naruto always throws around dangerous techniques in his sleep. Sometimes his techniques would destroy the building they slept in.

Natsu took another look at Naruto and noticed that next to his bed were his "Important papers" and instant ramen. The important papers were seals that Naruto had begun studying in a way to learn his fathers technique "Hiraishin no Jutsu" (Flying Thunder God Technique)

Natsu formed a new brilliant plan as he channeled magic power in his stomach and then spit a large fireball at Naruto "Karyu no Hoko!"(Fire Dragon's Roar)

As could be expected; Naruto, the bed and everything around him caught on fire. Ace woke up from the commotion and stared at Naruto who had woken up as well. While Naruto morned the loss of his instant ramen Ace extinguished the fire in Naruto's hair with his pillow.

"Ramen-chan" Naruto said with a sob before turning to Natsu with an evil grin. A dark aura surrounded him as he charged Natsu "Oodama RASENGAN" (Great Spiralling Sphere) he had a larger version of his Rasengan in his right hand "I WILL KILL YOU, PINKY!" Naruto roared as he charged forward only to be stopped by Ace holding him back.

Natsu stood in front of him pointing at him and laughing at him "Take that, Blondie!"

"NGHGH!" Naruto responded while Ace noticed that the hotel's owner stood at the door tapping his foot in irritation.

"I'm out" Ace said throwing himself out the window with Naruto and Natsu follwing after throwing punches at each other as they ran.

They ran far enough to reach a neighboring village. After training and sparring a little and evening came, they decided to visit the only bar in the village. They sat down at their own table and ordered beer and sake. They talked about how they would continue their training and that they must start taking on some jobs to bring in some money to pay for all the booze and property damages.

An hour later without Natsu noticing both Naruto and Ace had disappeared from the bar. Instead Natsu now had two beautiful women sitting next to him. Natsu were to focused on his drinking that he had not noticed them yet.

"Hey mind if we join you?" the taller of the two blonde's that could go for twins asked.

"Not at all" Natsu said as he held up his glass filled with beer "Cheers"

After one more hour even more girls had joined them, Natsu were now surrounded by girls that could be best described as fan-girls. As soon as word on Natsu "Salamander" Dragneel from Fairy Tail being in the bar every girl had flocked him. The latest girl to join them said something that got a laugh from Natsu "Did you see that angry blonde guy with the whiskers? He was dragging around a cart filled with instant ramen and mumbling, the whole village laughed at him" she had seen Naruto fill up on Ramen on her way inside the bar.

"Sounds like a freak" Natsu said and laughed loudly.

The night ended with Natsu destroying the bar after the other males have been jealous and picked a fight with him. Natsu had become a lot stronger in just three months and if he continued to improve at this rate he could pass for an S-Class mage when he would return.

But destroying a bar was normal but Natsu now had a problem he did not know how to solve. He had booked a room at the only inn available in the village. His room were now filled with women he met at the bar.

Natsu was not a shy guy so when they took of their clothes and surrounded him he just raised an eyebrow and asked "Is it hot in here?"

One of the girls attempted to take off Natsu's shirt but he managed to keep it on and back away from them "Hands where I can see them" he said in a threatening voice.

"Come on Natsu-sama don't be shy"

"I will do anything for you Natsu-sama" another added.

Natsu grinned "Anything huh? How about we go fishing then" he suggested taking out a fishing rod from his backpack "I'm hungry" Natsu then stomped out of the inn heading towards the river he saw earlier outside of the village.

Some of the girls gave up and resigned for the night, while the rest joined Natsu fishing until morning. Happy had of course found out about the fishing and joined them as well.

The next morning at Fairy Tail

Makarov sighed as he sat in his office staring at another picure of Natsu on the front page of a magazine. The magazine had like usual been thrown in his face by Erza Scarlet who now stood tapping her foot in front of his desk.

"I request permission to bring Natsu home so we can punish him" Makarov wanted to hit his head on his desk repeatedly after hearing that once again. Erza had requested to go after Natsu every day since he left.

"Like I tell you everday, No" Makarov said in a strict tone "He will be back in three months"

"Master.." Erza said glaring at him.

Makarov sweatdropped "Why don't you take on a job?" he needed to get Erza out of the guild for a while she was started to take out her anger on the others around her.

"I won't" Erza answered simply with crossed arms before placing a bunch of letters on Makarov's desk "Here are the latest complaints from the magic council"

Makarov cried anime tears the complaints kept growing every week and ninety percent of the complaints were about Natsu and his friends.

With Naruto who had just woken up

Naruto had spent last night sealing his ramen into scrolls and then studied seals before going to bed. Or climbing a tree and falling asleep in it. When he woke up he saw something that ruined his day as he could see Natsu down at the river sleeping with two girls spooning with him.

"How is that possible?" Naruto wondered out loud as he jumped down from the tree heading towards the village. As expected Naruto found Ace outside of the inn passed out. 'Good for him' Naruto thought since this time he had not passed out in an alley or something worse like he used to.

Naruto knew that trying to wake up Ace would be pointless, nothing could wake up that man when he had passed out. Instead he grabbed a scroll from his shirts pocket and unsealed it. After a puff of smoke Naruto now had a stack of papers in his hand. They were job requests that Naruto had managed to grab from a nearby guild in the last town they visited.

Evening

Natsu and Ace had slept through the whole day and woke up when it started getting dark outside. They had met up outside of the village both wondering where Naruto was. They did not have to look for him much because he had appeared next to them with his 'Biju Mode' activated carrying a large heavy looking sac.

Naruto said nothing as he returned to normal walking beside them as the three of them headed towards the next village or town.

"What you got there?" Natsu asked

"Nothing" Naruto answered trying to hide the sac.

Ace chuckled "I take it the next round is on you then?"

Naruto laughed loudly at that "You know it, Ace!"

The three of them had traveled around the Fiore country in the next four months. Natsu had now been away from the guild for seven months, he had already been away for longer than he and Makarov agreed on. Natsu had no plans on returning any time soon as he was not done with his training yet. He was also enjoying every day out with Ace and Happy and somewhat with Naruto although his attitude had gotten worse with every day.

Ace and Natsu had started taking on jobs as well but they worked together and finished one job at a time. Naruto would disappear for a few days and then return with more sac's filled with money as he always did several jobs at a time. Naruto never asked them for help as he liked to work on his own. Natsu thought that Naruto was almost made out of money due to the amount he had collected in the four months since he started taking on jobs. What Natsu did not know was that Naruto spent almost all of that money paying for property damages to avoid problems with the authorities.

Three months ago was the first time Ace, Natsu and Happy were introduced to Kurama, Naruto's little pet fox. Kurama reminded Natsu of Happy a little bit at first but that all changed two months later. Kurama and Ace had hit it off from the start, becoming great friends almost like Natsu and Happy. They would sing together around the campfire when they camped in the woods, they would go visit bars together and Kurama would help Ace with the women.

Then something happened, Natsu did not know the details but Kurama was not a small cute fox at all. Kurama was a huge nine tailed demon fox that had been sealed into Naruto at birth apparently. They found that out the day that Kurama and Ace fought for two days straight with Natsu and Naruto watching the fight. The fight was unbelievable and scary at the same time but it was nothing compared to what happened a few days later.

The reason Ace were angry with Kurama to begin with was that Kurama had repeatedly interrupted him while he was about to sleep with a woman. Ace knew that Kurama was doing in on purpose and after the fight with Kurama he blamed Naruto for it all. Naruto did not appreciate that and told Ace "Did you have a fight with my little pet?" in a teasing tone.

That started the scariest fight that Natsu had ever witnessed it lasted for a week, the forest they fought in had been destroyed. Thankfully it ended with Naruto and Ace laughing at themselves before passing out. After having witnessed both of the fights Natsu vowed that he would never do anything that would turn either Naruto or Ace into an enemy.

Natsu's training had starting giving results, his magic power had grown significantly which meant that all of his dragon slayer techniques had become more powerful. His chakra control had also improved as he was now able to walk on water. Naruto had even taught him a few ninja techniques with "Shunshin" (Body Flicker) and "Bunshin Daibakuha" (Clone great explosion) being his favorites.

Natsu had started trading techniques with Ace as well since they were both fire users. They had also come up with a new technique together "Karyu no Hydra" (Fire Dragon's Hydra) it was technique where Natsu would create several fiery serpents that surrounded the enemy shooting columns of fire towards the target.

Today was the day that the three of them were going to leave Fiore to visit another country. Ace had found a mission that even Naruto was interested in. They were going to take out a dark guild in a country far from Fiore; Bellum.

Natsu Dragneel:
Age: 18 (I think he's 17 in the manga but in my story he's 18)
Likes: Erza, Fire, Happy, Ace (because he feeds him fire and is a good friend)
Dislikes: Transportation, Gray, Naruto, people who hurts his comrades.

I'm trying to write Natsu the way he is in the manga, but he likes drinking a bit and when he drinks he becomes a pervert.

Portgas D. Ace:
Age: 22
Likes: Meat and eating as often as possible, Fire, Alcohol, Icha Icha Paradise, adventures, sailing the seas, People who drink with him, taking naps, making fun of Naruto and Natsu.
Dislikes: Akainu, Marines, Kurama (will be explained later), people who bothers him when he's having a good time, Gray.

Ace is the carefree person of the group.. He's just trying to enjoy life now that he's gotten a second chance. (Big change from before huh?) He's a pervert without knowing it.

Uzumaki Naruto
Age: 18
Likes: Ramen, Pranks especially when it involves Natsu, A challenging mission, Kurama, Sakura, Hinata, reading old Icha Icha and writing new ones.
Dislikes: The Uchiha Clan, Natsu, being underestimated, doing 'shitty' jobs/missions.

Naruto is the serious guy of the group, if you can belive that. He changed a bit after the war, but he still have his pranking side and enjoys acting a bit silly sometimes. He has become a super pervert like his sensei Jiraiya aswell, but he's not as open with it.
