Can You Keep A Secret?

Kayleigh Moore checked her appearance in the mirror for the tenth time that morning. She fluffed her naturally long eyelashes that were coated with 2 layers of mascara. She pulled her skirt up another couple of inches so it stopped around her mid-thigh.

"Kayleigh, Dynasty's here" Jessica Moore, Kayleigh's mum shouted from downstairs. Kayleigh quickly grabbed her black Michael Kors shoulder bag and ran downstairs to greet her best friend, Dynasty who was stood leaning against the doorframe.

"You ready?" Dynasty asked earning a nod from Kayleigh as she grabbed her oversized pink and white scarf from the coat hanger. "Honestly, it's the first day of term and I'm already counting down the days for summer.

"Same here, I hate it, we haven't even stepped foot in the gates yet" Kayleigh laughed lightly

"At least you get to see Kevin" Dynasty said, her voice full of humour and mockery.

"Whatever Dynasty" Kayleigh groaned rolling her eyes, regretting the decision to tell Dynasty about her growing feelings towards their friend, Kevin Chalk.

"Oh come on, you love him" She taunted just as they got to the school gates

"I like him, there's a difference" Kayleigh defended crossing her arms over her chest, charging ahead of her best friend into the school where and were stood watching the pupils walk into the school ready for a new term.

" , skirt" told Dynasty causing her to roll her eyes and pull it down as Kayleigh laughed at her

"Why didn't you get told off yours is shorter than mine" Dynasty hissed at her friend

"Don't look too smug Kayleigh, your skirts too short to" smiled at the two girls "And I need to see you in my office at lunch" he called after the two girls who'd already started walking into the main entrance of the school.

"Why does he want to see you?" Dynasty asked just as they were joined by Imogen Stewart.

"I don't know, I guess I'll see at lunch" Kayleigh shrugged walking to her form class.
