Their first date is just another day at the office. They bicker about nothing while ignoring heated looks, and a crisis interrupts before the good stuff. Afterwards, Carter's not sure if Allison even realized they were on a date.
The next time he asks her out they go to dinner outside of Eureka. Their conversation is awkward and full of silences. They could relieve the tension and discuss work, but that would defeat the purpose. Instead they muddle through. At the end of the night, after kissing her on her doorstep, Carter asks her out again and she says yes.
