A/N: Another pure drabble, this time for the Feeling of Color Challenge at the HPCF. I was given gold/prestige and the pairing HPGW. Enjoy!

As a child, she wondered why Gryffindors bared gold. Red –color of courage – made sense. But gold… Why pair prestige with courage?

But now, thinking about Harry, she understood. Prestige wasn't always about wealth or rank; when this war ended, everyone would know him. Not for living, but for standing when everyone else cowered.

Whenever she saw that crest, shame filled her heart. Not red enough to stand for herself, not gold enough to stand for others…

But maybe she could be gold in her own way. Here, at Hogwarts.

And just maybe, although physically apart, they could stand together.
