Seeing Jurassic Kingdom on a plane recently re-inspired me. Re-reading this, it made me want to add/change somethings. Like flesh out the timeline. More chapters will be coming shortly, and slight changes will be made to the current chapters. Next up will be a slight change to the current chapters.

I don't own anything ect. ect.

Six months after the incident, almost as soon as the press coverage had died down there were rumors of the park reopening. It crashed into Claire and Owen's delicate—and private—love bubble like a nuke. She was distraught and livid. "How short is their memory" she would scream at him, sometimes cry at him.

A poll had shown 62% of the professional staff—handlers, vets, those who had contact with the animals-had interest in returning to the park. This made sense to Owen because, well, dinosaurs. Very few worked at Jurassic World because of the pay. Owen and Claire agreed that the park could not reopen as it was, that would be a disaster waiting to be repeated. Claire in fact did not think it should open at all, but just as Owen was drawn to danger she was drawn to negotiation, organization, and a challenge.

Within a week of the announcement Claire had mobilized the staff, they would return but only if the park became a sanctuary or conservation center not an amusement park. There would still be accommodations for guests, but no gondolas or rides. They want to base the park off of models from Africa, not SeaWorld. Watching her negotiate this with the board of directors, over phone and email, in public statements, and even once in the board room had been the most arousing thing he had ever seen. For 2 months he had to convince her to take breaks, which wasn't a problem because as much as he had wanted her before seeing the HBIC Claire was the most powerful aphrodisiac in the world. It was all made even hotter by the fact no one seemed to notice, caught up in their own grief, trauma, and work Claire and Owen's relationship remained unnoticed. They maintained discretion of course, preferring to keep things private, but no one noticed the lingering hands on backs, or even—in a more brazen moment—their legs intertwined under a conference table.

Within 10 months of the incident the process had started. Teams were created, damage was assessed, plans made, and the project was underway. Claire was scheduled to return to the island with the board of directors for photo-ops and meetings exactly one year after the incident.
