Kate stumbles through the door letting out a sigh. It's nearly midnight and all she wants to do is curl up in bed next to Castle.
She makes her way through the dark loft to the bedroom. Kate notices Castle's sleeping body under the blankets as she heads to the bathroom hoping she doesn't wake him.
Castle hears the distant sound of Beckett in the bathroom. He isn't fully awake but knows its probably around 12:00 pm. He suddenly feels like he hasn't seen her in days. They've both just been so busy. Castle has been writing for the past week rushing to get the next couple chapters in, and Kate has had a high case load.
Kate exits the bathroom practically falling in to bed, exhaustion washing over her. Finally she thinks as she moves closer to Castle.
The bed shifts under him as Kate moves closer. Castle turns on his side to drape his arm over her waist.
"It's really late," he slurs still half asleep.
"Yeah I know. Sorry." Kate breaths out.
"Don' be sorry. I just miss you."
"I've missed you too." Kate turns her head to give him a kiss on the corner of his mouth. "Just been so busy with work."
"Mmmh I know." Castle says pulling her closer kissing her neck. "Now go to sleep."
"M'kay," she says lacing their finger that rest on her stomach.
The sun shines through the curtains on Castle's face. He cracks an open seeing that it's 6:15. Castle turns to Kate, who is sprawled across the bed, blankets kicked to the bottom of the bed. He can't help but smile at her. At this beautiful and extraordinary woman in his bed. He can't help but think he is the luckiest man.
Castle moves closer to place a kiss on her cheek, trying not to disturb her. She stirs but doesn't wake up. He rolls out of bed to make her coffee, knowing she'll need it.
