A/N: Part of this a letter from Mimi to Matt. It takes place in 02. Starts out Sorato but ends up Mimato.
Dear Matt,
I can remember being on the plane to America, and immediately regret leaving you and the others behind. I
regretted never telling you my feelings for you. I regretted the day answering the phone only to hear you tell
me that Sora and you were dating. I broke down and cried after that. I couldn't believe that the one I loved
the most was dating my best friend. I'd never want to hurt Sora, but I'm suffering so much now beyond
belief. Matt, I love you so much. If only you felt the same way the pain would be gone. I'm always doing
different things to make the pain go away. I've done everything from throwing parties to going to the
digiworld to writing this letter. None of it seems to work though. Even if you do reject my love, please
don't reject my friendship We can still be friends if you don't love me, right?
I always thought it was stupid when two broke up and one of them still wanted to be friends, but now I
understand. That person still loved them and wanted to at least be near them.
I'm like that other person. If you're thinking 'how do I have the nerve to write this when
you're still dating Sora', it's because I love you too much, Matt. If only you knew how much you broke my
heart. Please respond to me as soon as you read, even if you hate me.

Matt looked at the letter in disbelief. 'Why would she do this now? I went out with Sora and was hoping to
forget how much I actually loved her.' Matt thought as he sighed.
Just then Sora came up to him. "Whatcha got there?" she asked looking at the letter. "Oh, a-it's a letter from
Mimi," he said trying his best to hide it. "Oh," Sora said understandly. "Did you know that she's coming here
for a few days?" she asked him. "Yeah," Matt said as he put his arm around Sora. "You want to do
something tonight?" he asked her. Sora looked away with pain in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" Matt asked her. Sora sighed. "I know she loves you. And...I think you love her," she
finally said. He didn't know what to say. "Matt, don't deny it. I understand," she said looking over at him.
After their discussion they finally decided to break up. Matt wrote Mimi a letter telling her about his feelings
for her and that he broke up with Sora.
A/N: Okay, I know I said I'd write longer fics but I just ran out of ideas for this one! It was only suppose to be a letter but I decided the letter alone was too short and too sad! So I decided to make even sadder by adding the ending part there. Don't forget to review, please! And once more, I'm sorry for how short it is
