SPRING
Golden sheets of light streamed through the canopy and the air hinted a scent of spring, fresh blossoms and new grass. A smooth breeze lifted a few strands of Lintte's golden hair as she read a book about her favourite composer. Then as she prepared to flip to the next page, a very familiar tune broke her concentration.
Someone was singing her favourite song, a song by the very composer she was reading about, a love song about a meeting in a park. His voice was deep, soothing and impressive by her standards. Lured by song, Lintte gazed down her window and saw that it was Legolas who was singing. He was walking around while singing at the foot of her tree-bound talen and soon disappeared amongst some tall bushes.
The singing stopped and Lintte was hit with a small wave of longing. Curious to find where Legolas when she left her room. Upon reaching the door, she was surprised to see Legolas perched comfortably on her doorframe.
He raised a hand beckoning her to grasp it, eyes shimmering something unknown to her. Lintte reached out and pulled back again. Seeing Legolas's shocked face, she grinned mischievously, dimples deepening.
Legolas smiled back and Linette placed her palm against his. Instinctively, he wrapped his hand around hers as she around his. His hand felt surprisingly soft unlike that of a warrior habited to the weathering of nature. Legolas tightened his grip a little, took a deep breath and gazed down at Lintte.
