The outer senshi were sat around the table enjoying a nice family Christmas lunch together. In the middle of the table was a large plate of turkey, as well as Brussels sprouts, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and gravy. Crackers were placed neatly on the table, although Haruka and Hotaru had failed to keep them like that by immediately pulling one…or two…or ten…
Haruka glanced at Setsuna and immediately came to a conclusion. The senshi of time was the only one not wearing a Christmas hat and that, in Haruka's opinion, was a crime. All members of the family had to wear a hat. It was Haruka's belief that Christmas hats were compulsory. After all, Christmas wouldn't be the same without the hat, would it?
"Setsuna-chan, put a hat on," she said, deciding to start nicely. She knew Setsuna wouldn't succumb but it was a lot more fun to bring it on gradually.
"I'm perfectly content without one, thank you," replied Setsuna calmly before she continued eating.
"Come on, Setsuna-mama," said Hotaru, joining in. "Pleeease?"
"No, Hime-chan. I'm fine without one."
"Setsuna-chan," said Haruka. "If you don't put on a Christmas hat, you won't get any pudding."
Apparently Setsuna was being stubborn.
"Good, I'll keep off the calories."
"Since when do you diet?" inquired Michiru, catching on to what was happening. Setsuna glanced at her in such a way that says "I don't; I'm just being obstinate." Michiru pursed her lips, deciding it was her turn to try and get the green haired woman to wear a hat.
"If you don't wear a hat, I'll force you to watch Haruka and I in…"
"Not here, Michi-chan," warned Haruka, glancing nervously at Hotaru. Setsuna deemed this odd – it was normally Michiru scolding Haruka for such things. Oh well, she thought. Must be the effects of Christmas. Setsuna watched as Michiru blushed, laughing inside at the fact that Michiru couldn't play her 'If you don't do what I'll say I'll force you to watch me and Haruka in bed' trump card.
"Alright," said Michiru. "Looks like there's only one option left."
As Setsuna saw Michiru leave her seat, she wondered what she could possibly be doing. Being a little slow on the uptake, she failed to realize that Michiru was removing her own hat from her head and sneaking up behind her. Seconds later, Setsuna suddenly felt something being shoved right over her eyes and buckled over squealing. Opening her eyes, she squinted as she saw loads of white fluff in her face, from the edge of the Michiru's Christmas hat, which had been shoved over her head.
"Michiru-chan!" she groaned. Haruka and Hotaru were laughing hysterically. Then Haruka, unbeknownst to Setsuna, sneaked out of the living room.
While Michiru was keeping Setsuna busy by wrestling with her to keep the hat on, Haruka went to the kitchen, opened the fridge and grabbed some whipped cream. Spraying a large amount into a bowl, she came back into the dining room and placed it in front of Setsuna. Hotaru looked confused and then grinned. She came up next to Michiru and grabbed the hat with her.
"On the count of three," said Haruka. "One – two – THREE!"
Off came the hat and into the cream went Setsuna's face.
Needless to say, she was the perfect replication of a snowman afterwards.
