Betrayed

"Roxas, just ask her already!" Olette almost shouted at the poor blonde head.
"Hey, I never said I liked her!" Roxas replied.
"It's so blindingly obvious, dude." Pence said finishing off the last of his Sea Salt ice cream.
"Plus, you never said you didn't." Roxas always disliked how Olette had a talent for arguing.
"Guys, c'mooon." Roxas started walking away when his friends pulled him back.
"We already know you like her, so just go for it!" The computer braniac encouraged.
"And if she doesn't, well, then at least you know." Olette gave him a push toward the shop where the girl worked.
Roxas slowly made his way to the shop. He could see her, fixing all the products left to sell. He thought she looked pretty, in fact, really pretty. A sudden sense in him told him not to do it, and started backing away. Pence gave him a strong push toward the shop and Roxas landed roughly on the counter. The girl jumped at the sudden action, and smiled a bit to see who it was.
"Um, Roxas?" The girl asked and nudged his head.
Roxas lifted his head and his face inches away from hers. He backed away immediately and scratched the back of his head nervously.
"Uh, hey Riley..."
She laughed a little.
"Hey Roxas! Gonna buy something today?" She smiled and it always made him smile.
"Uhh, no, heh."
"Okay, then?" She turned her back and continued fixing. "So, why are you here?"
Roxas glanced at his friends, both Pence and Olette gave smiles of encouragement and/or a thumbs up. However, Hayner, leaning against the wall behind them, stared at the ground. Roxas scrunched his brow for a moment, but shook the feeling away.
"I wanted to ask you a question."
She turned around and stared at him indicating she was listening.
"I was wondering if you ever, um, wanted to get a bite to eat sometime." Roxas said it, nervously, but he said it.
She just looked at him. Her expression was difficult. She didn't seem sad or annoyed, but she didn't seem too happy either.
"Roxas..." She started. "I'm sorry; I'm already going out with someone else."
Not to mention, Roxas knew almost everyone who lived in the town.
"Who?"
"Your friend..." She pointed behind him.
"...What?" Roxas mumbled as he turned around. She pointed at Hayner, who was staring, just staring back at them, then he walked away. Roxas didn't know what to feel, Hayner had known Roxas liked her ever since Roxas moved to this town. One thing he should feel is...betrayed.
Author's Note: All right, well, this idea just came into my head out of nowhere. For some people who don't know. It's the blonde girl that works in one of the shops in Twilight Town, the girl in one of the pictures that Olette teased Roxas about being "really happy." Haha, yeah that girl. I don't know her name, so I just made up a name. Riley seems to fit. (: Also, I have no idea if I should just leave this a one shot considering how I can't finish any novels I start. Anyway, in my opinion, this happens a lot in real life, heh, so yeah. R&R!
