The Dream
As I drew my sword, ready for battle, the weirdest thing happened, everything disappeared, leaving nothing but blackness. I mean, I know weird things have been occurring lately, but this was just outright FREAKY. I was floating, I think, I could see all the people I'd known from sector 7. Biggs, Wedge, Jesse, everyone I'd encountered in sector 7. They were calling to me, reaching out to me. I could feel their pain, they were trying to tell me something, something important, something BAD. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out, I tried to talk, tried to force it, but I couldn't. In the distance, I could see something big and red. Blood, a huge wave of blood came upon everything, washing it all away, the screams and cries stopped, it all disappeared, but the blood kept coming. It was filling the blackness like a lake, I opened my mouth to scream for help, but it filled with blood, stopping me from breathing. I could smell it now, the smell filled my nostrils with an awful stench, something rotting. I was drowning, I tried to swim upwards, trying to reach the surface, but it pushed me down, & held me there. I couldn't move, I was paralyzed, it was trying to kill me, but all the time I couldn't help but wonder, What the hell is happening?? Then I saw her, reaching for my hand, I grabbed her hand and she pulled me out. I was breathing hard, trying to catch my breath, I had just about drowned. Then, I realized who had just saved me, I stumbled backwards, almost falling in, but she grabbed my hand, saving me, yet again. She smiled at me, with that smile I had loved so much. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. How is this possible? This can't be..... I could only let out a whisper, "Aeris?" I was in awe, this couldn't be Aeris, Aeris was dead, Sephiroth killed her. That's what I saw, that's what I remember. "Aeris? Is that you?!?" I asked, she just smiled and said nothing, "I must be dreaming, you're dead, I saw it happen, we.... you..... how??" She just kinda sat there as if she was asleep, then she snapped out of it, there was a confused look on her face, then she fainted. I rushed to help her, I shook to try and wake her , she was still, then her eyes slowly opened, still looking confused, she sat up. I repeated myself, "Aeris, is that you? I thought you were dead, no, I know you were dead, right?" Again she just smiled and sat there, this was getting really confusing. "Hello, Cloud how long has it been?" My jaw dropped, the moment she spoke , I knew it was her, She was dead though, she had also just saved my life, and still all she asked was how long it had been... I went to pinch myself, but she stopped me "Don't you'll disappear, and this is the only way I can talk to you!" Pulling my hand away, I pinched myself, the second I did, everything disappeared, and I woke up in a cold sweat. All I could say was "Weird". I know I had to go to sleep to talk to Aeris again, but how long would it take for that to happen again?
