Batman: Gotham Sanctuay Season 1 Episode 1 Sanctuay For All Part 1
It is 9pm in Gotham City, two police officers from the GCPD Precinct Building respond to a 911 call about a disturbance in the home of Russian immigrants, located in Grand Avenue on Miagani Island. A woman who is one of the Russian immigrants refuse to let the police officers inside their home. So the two cops force their way in by breaking the door. They discover the body of a old man who appears to be shot in the head, then they notice a young boy cowering under the bed in the same room. As he attempts to coax the boy out, the first police officer is killed by a mysterious snake-like creature, which stabs him in the forehead, leaving a wound resembling a gunshot. When the boy emerges from behind the bed, the snake creature rears and kills the second police officer. After the deaths of the two police officers, forensic expert Barbara Gordon is called in to inspect the murder scene. The police assume the three victims have been shot, and claim to have apprehended the shooter, but Barbara sees no evidence of a gun being used and quickly deduces that all is not as it seems at the apartment, but her theories are ridiculed by her father, Commissioner James Gordon. As she leaves, Barbara spots the boy and chases him down a back alley, where she narrowly avoids being struck by Robin on his motorcycle who is also evidently pursuing the boy. She begins to chase them both, but moments later she is struck from behind by a car. Before lapsing into unconsciousness, she catches a glimpse of the driver-Bruce Wayne. Meanwhile, the Joker appears out of nowhere in Falcone shipping yards. He approach a female prostitute and ask her about a place called the Sanctuary that takes in unusual guests. She told him where it is, and then he cuts her throat with a knife. So back to the mainstory. Barbara regains consciousness and finds herself at Bruce's second home. He begins to explain the truth behind the murders, and reveals that he knows about Barbara's long-repressed and traumatic childhood memory of her mother being killed by some kind of monster. He offers Barbara a position with his organization-The Sanctuary, which is housed in a top secret base under a partially ruined cathedral in an unnamed city. It houses a variety of supernatural creatures called abnormals, who are, he believes, are a evolutionary branch that predates humans. Bruce explains that these creatures would have been mistreated, exploited or killed in the outside world, and that he and his team have dedicated their lives to rescuing and caring for these abnormals. He shows Barbara the fantastic creatures who inhabit the Sanctuary, including a mermaid; he also took her to the bat cave by using a teleporter, Barbara realize that Bruce Wayne is Batman, she also meets Alfred Pennyworth Bruce's butler and best friend. Bruce tells Barbara that he has been tracking the "snake-boy", cryptically that he is, and yet is not, responsible for the murders. Though very reluctant and confused, Barbara agrees to give the new job a try. Then Robin calls and tells Batman that he locates the "mutant" boy inside the subway tunnels and finally corners him, then Batman and Barbara arrives and assists with his capture. On their return to the Sanctuary, they discover that the boy, had a symbiotic appendage growing from his abdomen, which seems to have a will of its own. This symbiote is evidently responsible for the murders, although the team are as yet unable to work out why, so Bruce assigns Barbara her first task-questioning the boy finding out why his symbiote has to kill.
