"And so, for the rest of their days, Queen Sydnee and King Feralls lived happily ever after. The end." A man in a black butler's uniform closed a thick book of about four hundred sixty seven and looked down at the girl who was wide awake in her bed. She was propped on her elbows looking at the man with her wide green eyes. She laid on her tummy with her legs swinging back and forth behind her. Her orange colored hair was filled with curlers of red, blue, yellow, and pink. Her fair skin glowed and she laid in her king sized, green and white canopy bed with brownish see through curtains. She was dressed in brown and green silk pajamas blending in with her brown sheets and green comforter and pillow.
"Sebastian, I didn't like that story." She spoke with her head tilted.
Sebastian, the man in a black butler's uniform placed the book on the girls lamp table. "How come, Lady Elliott?"
The young girl rolled over to her back with her arms behind her head. She shrugged. "Because all fairy tales I know end with 'Princess Whatever and Prince Who-Cares lives happily ever after', or the story would start off with Once upon a timeā¦' Can the author not change her or his wording! It's getting quite boring now, and she or he should see that by now. A story should always close in a way to keep the reader wondering not to shut the reader down completely."
Sebastian chuckled. "Well, Lady Elliott, must you make that change?"
"I'm not a writer, Sebastian." Elliott sighed.
Sebastian shook his head. "No. No; you're not a writer, but you are a persistent crusader, my dear, Elliott, and you have an imagination of a perfect world. You have a dream, and you're going to chase it down and own it. You will make a change in this horrendous world. You will accomplish what you can and more even if it is a simple fairy tale with the same taglines beginning and end."
A faint smile grew on Elliott's lips. "You have too much faith in me, Sebastian."
"My dearest, this overload of faith I have in you is the future, and it awaits your arrival." Sebastian stood up and tucked Elliott in under her blankets. "Rest well, Lady Elliott. I must attend to your grumpy father and over excited mother now."
Elliott giggled under her sheets. "He's grumpy and she's over excited indeed, Sebastian."
Sebastian didn't reply but did smile. He turned off Elliott's lamp and closed her bedroom's door behind him as he exited her large room.
Elliott smiled as she closed her eyes, and she fell off into a peaceful, deep sleep.
