Comforting

She lied in her bed, not having the energy to get up. That had been happening a lot lately, but honestly, Minako didn't care.

He was gone. the only boy she'd ever loved had slipped through her fingers so easily.

And all contact she had wit the outside stopped; just completely halted in place. The world kept going; moving ahead of her. Nowhere was safe anymore, it seemed as if people had no regard for her feelings.

Her bed was the only safe haven she had left.

As she was wallowing in her own self pity, she heard a knock on the door. "Hey, Mina-tan," a very familiar voice call from the other side of the door, "it's Junpei. Can I come in?"

She snuggled deeper into her blankets, "Yeah." she called, her voice dull.

The Magician walked in and came up to her bed, "...you okay?"

She looked at him. The dead look in her eyes answered his question.

Junpei flinched. He hated seeing her like this.

"Mina-tan..."

Minako sat up in bed, "...did you came to try and cheer me up?"

He shook his head, "I... I just wanted to let you know... that I know how you feel... and when you're ready to talk, I'm right here, okay?"

She blinked as she watch him walk away, "What... what's that supposed to mean?"

He stopped at the door, "I'm here for you," he said, "I... I felt the same way... when Chidori died."

Surprise marked her face, "W-What...?!"

But he was already gone.
