"Whatcha reading, honeybadger?" Felix asked strolling out the bathroom wearing his usual bedtime attire.

"A book," Tamora deadpanned, not taking her eyes off the page.

Felix chuckled as he hopped onto the bed. He peeked at the book cover to see what was so fascinating to his wife. "Ready for War," he read, not surprised by the title. Tamora's book choices usually consisted of sci-fi or war novels, which didn't much interesting him, but he read with her sometimes just to spend time with his wife.

"I think you'd enjoy this one," Tamora said, knowing exactly what Felix was thinking. "It has more story content than bloody battles." She sat up from her reclined position. She crossed her legs, and with a smile, invited him to sit on her lap.

Felix didn't have to ability to resist when his wife beckoned. He crawled on her lap, snuggling his back into her front. He twisted to place a tender kiss on her cheek before picking up the book from where Tamora had laid it open on the sheets.

"Where are we?" he asked, skimming the words.

Tamora touched the beginning of a paragraph with her finger. "A good part just started. Why don't you read it to me this time, Fix-It."

Usually they read in quiet unison, but every once and while Tamora would read aloud to him. Felix enjoyed listening to his wife's voice. When she wasn't barking orders, her voice was soothing - almost sensual at time - and sent pleasant shivers up his spine.

But this was the first time she'd ever asked him to read.

"Can do, ma'am." He smiled as Tamora rested her chin in the crook of his neck. "Bobby hooked an arm around Jennie's waist, and pulled her flush against him. Jennie's bosom heaved as Bobby touched her cheek-"

Felix cleared his throat. "I never took you for romance novels, Tammy."

"Like I said, it has more story content than bloodshed," Tamora said, casually. "Ten hut, soldier."

"His fingers trailed down her throat, dipping between her breasts…ahem-" the suggestive words were awkward on Felix's tongue, and his face began to heat like a stovetop on maximum. He became all too aware of his wife's chest pressed against his shoulder blades.

"Jennie moaned as his hands…cupped each-" Felix pulled on the collar of his white shirt, "Tammy, I don't think I can read this."

"Go a little further," Tamora encouraged.

Felix's heart drummed in his ears as Tamora's lips brushed ever-so-lightly against his earlobe as she spoke. "Um…cupped each breasts. Jennie leaned forward placing teasing kisses on Bobby's throat-" Felix squeaked out the last word as a warm kiss was pressed against the back of his neck.

Tamora continued along his neckline with open-mouthed kisses until she found his ear. Her nimble fingers skimmed underneath Felix's shirt hem, tickling him to the point of squirming.

"You were right, Fix-It" she murmured against Felix's ear, "I've never been one for romance novels." Tamora paused, and the only sound in the room was heavy breathing from both of them.

"I thought right," Felix quivered out.

"I prefer the real thing." Tamora's fingers dipped under his waistline, not quite skimming his nether regions.

Now that Tammy had all but jumped his pixels, Felix tossed the book across the bed. He was about explode from all this glorious teasing! He gently pushed Tamora down on the bed, straddling her waist and playfully pinning her wrists on either side of her head.

Felix smiled down at her; Tamora wearing on her own pleased smirk. He couldn't help but think this was planned, and Felix was just fine with it.
