Mia's POV:
Me and my mum just moved to this new town, it's pretty small and has a population of let's say 10 people max. But I don't mind it's more relaxing that way. Our house looks pretty decent. I walked down the stair of my new room and saw my mum watching television, when she saw me she called me over. 'Your dads on honey!' She says with an exited smile. I laugh silently and watch a bit of tv with her.
After a few minutes the show is over and my mum walks into our kitchen. 'You should meet the neighbours, they are very nice!' She yells. 'Proffesor Birch and his family, I believe they have a son your age.' She adds. 'I'll go now I guess….' I mumble, I've never been a talkative person.
I jump up from the couch and walk out the door. I guess it's the house next to us and walk towards it. I knock on the door and a nice looking lady opens it. 'Hello!' she greets. 'Hi, uhm.. I'm Mia. The next door neighbor?' I say unsure. 'Ah! Yes yes, come in!' She grins and we walk inside. 'My husband is at his lab, so you'll meet him later. This is Taren my daughter and my son should be upstairs, he is around your age. You can go to his room, just walk up the stairs and it's the first room on your right.' She says kindly. I nod and make my way towards his room.
When I enter his room I notice that it looks exactly like mine, there's a pokeball in the center of the room. I always wanted my own pokeball, never got it though I was too young. Al of a sudden somebody comes crashing into the room. 'Hey! Who are you?' He asks suspicious. 'Uhm.. I'm Mia, your next-door neighbor?' I say. 'Wait you're a girl? I thought you'd be a boy.' He says and has a deep in thought look on his face. He was good looking, but he wore a cap with white hair on top of it. It made his black hair unnoticeable and it was a bit weird.
He was staring at me for a few moments and I felt a blush creep up my face. I guess he noticed because he cleared his throat and blushed a bit himself. 'Oh, do you have a pokemon?' He asks. 'No, but I would like one soon.' I tell him. 'Nice, do you want me to catch you one?' He asks and grins. His computer made a weird sound. He looks up and walks towards it. 'Oh, sorry. I can't. I need to help my dad with some research.' He says. 'oh, well I better leave then. Don't want to stop you from your work.' I say and walk towards the door. 'Yeah, I'll see you around sometimes Mia.' He grins and waves, I wave back and make my way downstairs. I say goodbye to Taren and mrs. Birch, then I decide to do some exploring.
