This first part is merely a summary for a fic I'm planning at the moment. I agree with everyone that "Hong Kong Longs" left a lot of loose ends untied. There are already many fics that depict a version of a possible "season 3". I'm not going to make this as a season 3 fic, because this will be way more "adult" than anything Disney would dare to do. Or maybe I should put it as a "season 3 for the big kids" lol. This fic will follow the next 4 years after the series end…up until Jake and Rose are 18. Summary:
After the defeat of the Dark Dragon in Hong Kong, life returns basically back to normal. Rose and her family return to New York after learning the truth. Trixie starts realizing she may have feelings for Spud, who is now training as a wizard, but has to compete with Stacy. Jake earns a certain amount of respect from both the Dragon Council and his grandfather. Jake also continues his work as the American Dragon, now with Haley at his side more often.
But new problems begin to arise. What was the true fate of 88 and 89? Did they go back to a life of being regular boys with a love of video games? Or are they up to their own tricks? Years later, word gets out about a new generation of children born with the mark of the Huntsclan. Could this mean a new beginning for the Huntsclan?
Also, what will become of Chang now that her dark master has been defeated? Will she see the error of her ways and realize she was nothing but a pawn in a deadly scheme? With the possibility that the Dark Dragon may somehow return, will Chang betray her own kind yet again to aid him?
