Hermione Granger let out a string of curses under her breath.

She should have know that Dolohov wouldn't keep his mouth shut about their time together.

"Is it true, Hermione?" Harry asked nervously.

She turned and looked her friend in the eye and said, "Yes, it's true, Harry."

"Why, Hermione? Why would you do that?"

"Because it was necessary. We weren't getting the information we needed and it was time for a different approach," she explained clinically.

"You seduced me and had a relationship with me for information?" Dolohov asked sounding stunned.

"I did what I had to do to save those people. I'm not proud that I had to use sex to do it, but if I have to sacrifice something so they can live then so be it," Hermione said coldly.

She couldn't see much of his face in the dim light of the dungeon they were standing in, but his eyes pierced her heart.

To everyone else all they seemed to hold was hate, but Hermione could see the emotions which lay underneath; confusion, betrayal, and love. She had been aware of his feelings for a while now and wanted to stop the charade, but finding out where people were being kept prisoner was more important than one man's feelings.

I played my part too well, she thought.

Or at least that was what she kept on telling herself.

For the first two months Hermione had distanced herself from him emotionally and focused solely on their physical relationship to build trust between them, but Hermione soon realised that it would take a lot more than just sex to get him to open up to her. Soon after she started stay for the night or a few days at one of his safe houses.

It was during this time that she had really got to know the man behind the infamous name. Antonin Dolohov was intelligent and would challenge her intellectually through various topics of debate from the usefulness of Wolfsbane to the right way to ward a home. He had courted her with gifts, made love to her, had opened his heart to her, and now she had thrown it back in his face.

That side of him was all she ever wanted in a boyfriend. It was just a shame that his Death Eater side came with it, and it was that side which kept Hermione from falling in love with him completely. She could never love someone who hated what she was.

"You manipulative bitch. You will rot in hell for what you've done!" Antonin snarled at her.

"I will see you there then. If I'm going to hell then so are you," Hermione commented idly.

She wouldn't tell him how she truly felt as the betrayal would only feel worse. Sparing him the pain which came from that was the one thing Hermione would do for him.
