Walking down the corridor, my feet throbbing with pain as I looked around the in pitch black darkness, my Arbok closely behind me. I turned round to her to make sure she was coping with the obscurity of this strange, unfamiliar place. After carefully pressing the switch we came across as we walked in, we were passing turned off security cameras carved to look like Persians with red stones glowing in their eyes. Suddenly, we heard a loud crashing sound and the floor shook violently, as if something had fallen from beneath our feet; Arbok didn't seem to like the sudden piercing echo as she crawled closer to my legs. We slowly paced on, rapidly turning in surprise whenever we heard even the slightest noise.

We then came to a flight of stairs leading downwards to the basement floors below. Arbok wasn't sure if we should go down there; I could tell as she backed away from them, willing me to do so in the process, but I'd promised the people of Mahogany Town that I would help them understand what was happening with the Magicarp at The Lake of Rage, so I courageously plodded down the stairs, Arbok reluctantly following behind me. I reached the bottom of the stairs and realised it was darker in the below floors than it was upwards, which didn't seem to back up my point of going down there in the first place any stronger. I took one small step into the darkness, then another, then another, until I could see a glowing orange light in the distance. Looking behind me to see if Arbok was still following (which she was) I marched straight towards the light.

I suddenly saw a figure. It was tall and handsome looking, with short red hair and a long black cape. He was standing by a Pokémon I couldn t quite make out. My march turned into a slow walk as I came closer to the young man, in fact, I reduced my pace so much that Arbok crashed into me, pushing me onto the floor resulting in a huge bang as my body hit the ground.
"Are you alright?" The boy said to me, helping me up off the cold tiles I was laying on.
"Y-yes, I'm fine." I replied, my voice in shock that he was helping me.
"Your Arbok looks startled." He said. He looked into his small black bag that was wrapped around his waist, and pulled out a small bottle containing a blue mixture.
"Here, give it some of my medicine." He said, passing me the bottle.
I looked round at Arbok, who was still unsure of the red haired boy, but when I held up the medicine, she quickly came to my side, although still watching the lad carefully. I sprayed her with the concoction and she lit up in health.
"Thank-you" I said to him.
He nodded. "You're welcome."
