Here there was a popping sound, and Mr. McGarry was abruptly replaced by the townsfolk from The Music Man: "You really ought to give Iowa a try!"
Beep.
There was silence on the other end of the line for a few moments. Then a sigh was heard, followed by an irritated male voice. "All right, Leo, you win," it said. "I'll run in the damn caucus."
