1. sunshine
the boy with blonde, sunshine hair is named naruto. there are three whisker marks residing on each side and whenever he grins, he looks like a fox.
a mischievous, joking fox that hides things from you. naruto hides things in his deep blue eyes. memories, sasuke noted, were empty. the swing on the tree where naruto used to sit, swayed empty and lonely, isolated from the rest of the world.
at the time, and maybe even a bit now, sasuke hated the sunshine. he wanted to hit that sunshine over the head with a big, fat shuriken and see how it'd yell.
2. breathless
sasuke's breath is taken away when he usually wakes up from bed, sweating cold and hot. his shirt is sticking to him and he is clinging onto his sheets. four years after his family's deaths and there are still nightmares. he thought maybe this would be enough to consider as tolerance. that this would be enough.
then there were the memories when he was eating riceballs and when he was laying on the grass. one moment and then the next film in his memory wheel, he's running through a field with the other boy with blonde hair sprinting beside him. then the other boy turns, calls him a name, and grins at him brilliantly.
when sasuke opens his eyes after this, he finds himself unexpectedly breathless.
3. push
the pale boy with black hair and narrow eyes never thought himself to be the one being pushed over by a stupid blonde haired kid named naruto. the other boy's worn out, blue, silk neck tie is brushing against his neck while he continues to reprimand him for his bastard-ways. it tickles him and he finds it irritating.
4. pull
naruto is so surprised when the other boy narrows his eyes and suddenly grips his neck tie, and pulls him down. he lets out another yell and there is soft forehead bashing, a gasp 'ow', but mostly lips on lips. it hurts, naruto tried to say. but the bastard still won't listen.
5. remember
sasuke knows that naruto will never really forget, the first was an accident, the second was irritation taking over and would leave a mark. naruto's lips are lightly bruised and swollen and he looks perfectly kissed.
yet he still has enough energy in him to be able to eat all the ramen that sasuke bribed him with to make him forget all the things he whispered to him to make him feel better after he kissed him. because he swears on his brother's future grave, that he never meant a thing. yea. right.
but he knows naruto won't forget. and he wouldn't either.
