Alternative Season Finale of Bones – Booth and Brennan Story
This story is set at the moment that Booth has been asked to go back in the army.
Brennan has some decision-making to do herself.
Chapter 1. Don't leave me
''Why are they asking me anyway?'' Booth said to Bones.
'''They know I have responsibilities here. I have a kid and my work. What are they thinking?''
Booth looked very frustrated. They were drinking a beer in the diner after they had left the Jeffersonian. It was late and they were both tired.
''I think I know what they might be thinking. They think you're this amazing sniper and they want you back, that's the only logical reason.'' Bones said to Booth.
''I know you love Parker, but Rebecca can take care of him, Booth. This is a ones-in-a-lifetime shot. They're not going to ask you again, I guess.'' She said.
''BONES, I know that. Don't you understand this is a big deal. I just don't know what to do. Why don't you decide for me?'' He asked.
''You know I can't do that, Booth. But there's something I have to tell you. You might not like it. '' She said carefully.
''O, wow Bones. You decided to surprise me with something didn't you?'' He said cheerful.
''Well, Booth. Not really. They found these really old bones in Indonesia. The old I like. I'm tired of working with murdered people every day, Booth. You have to understand! But anyways, my colleagues in Indonesia have asked me to come. They want me to examine the bones and stuff. What do you think?'' Booth stared at her.
Brennan clapped her hands in front of his face with the intention to make him stop staring. ''O, yeah. More decision-making, right. I don't like that. Well, why don't we just stay here? The both of us. We make a perfect team and you know that.'' Booth said, pushing a little.
''Booth, I already told you that I can't do this anymore. I'm all sick and ill of all these murders. I'm really, seriously considering to go. '' She said.
''It's sick and tired, Bones. Not sick and ill.'' Booth corrected her.
''I don't want you to go because I'm staying too.'' Booth said with a sad look on his face. The one Bones could hardly resist.
''That's not rational, Booth. You could stay here even if I left. That has nothing to do with this.'' Brennan said with her squinty-face on.
''Bones, that's ridiculous! You staying here has everything to do with me!'' Booth said, almost screamed.
