Bree Van De Kamp had in fact fallen in love with Karl Mayer. Beyond all reason, it had happened. After his tragic and unfortunate death, she was ridden with a great deal of guilt. She saw a future with this man after divorcing Orson. Nevertheless, there was no denying that Bree was still in love with Orson. She knew she had nothing left to do but to try and make amends and fix her marriage with Orson.
Several months later, Bree Van De Kamp sat on the stairs, as Orson Hodge left her life for good. Bree had made so many mistakes this year, and she had so many regrets. Bree had harbored a great deal of regret, indeed, and not to mention all the secrets of the past. Bree Van De Kamp was not perfect, but she was in fact a perfectionist. She had high expectations and morals and values. Bree could not shake it, was she in fact a hypocrite? Orson could no longer be married to Bree, for protecting her only son. However, she knew what she had to do. Bree had to confess one of her utmost darkest secrets, this could potentially cost her a dear friendship, but it was time. Bree Van De Kamp was tired of living in the past.
She knew she had to tell Gabby. How do you tell your friend that ten years ago your son ran over your mother-in-law? Bree had no earthly idea how to tell Gabby. After the ladies said goodbye to Susan, they went their separate ways.
Guilt was the name of the game. All the guilt had finally consumed Bree and it had become overwhelming. "I'm not…a good person" Bree said softly. "There's something I need to tell you, Gabby. Something I should've told you years ago." Bree and Gabby began walking towards her house and Bree could feel her heart racing, like it was about to explode in her chest. "There's no easy way to say this" Bree said taking Gabby's hand.
"Bree, what's wrong? You're scaring me, just spit it out" Gabby said folding her arms.
"It's about Andrew. Andrew…was the one who ran over Juanita." Bree noticed that Gabby's face turned completely pale.
"You're right. You should've told me years ago." Gabby stormed into her house and slammed the door. Carlos was standing right by the window and noticed the two talking. "What was that about?" Carlos asked curiously.
"It's nothing. I'm hungry, I'm sure the girls must be starving. I'll tell you later." Gabby did feel extremely guilty about what happened with her mother-in-law. If only she wasn't having an affair. If only, Gabby thought. "You know, Carlos…it's just you think you know your friends…but you really have no idea sometimes" she said pulling out a bottle of wine staring at Bree's house.
