It's fun to bask
On these rocks
Between apprentice tasks

I'm surrounded by friends
Hollyleaf and Lionblaze
And they'll be with me to the end.

Millie's kits are playing
How sweet they are
And then I see the snake that's laying

In the darkness
Preparing to strike
But I'll keep it from success

I lunge for it
It bares its fangs
Briarkit is safe! But I am hit.

I collapse, writhing in pain
The poison is spreading
It's pierced a vein

My blood's on fire
And Leafpool can't help
The snake has its desire.

I'm going to die
Berrynose will be so sad
I can't even move to say good-bye

StarClan welcome me
I'll never be with my Clan again
I knew saving the kit would come with a fee.

No, Sorreltail, don't cry
The pain is fading
But everything is going black – why?

My body gives one last twitch
And then nothing
It's all black as pitch.

But it isn't the end
Now I'm with StarClan
My wound they will mend

But nothing can heal
A broken heart
A terrible thing to feel.

Berrynose and I had such a great plan
And now he has no one
But I want him to choose from the rest of the Clan

He needs someone to love
But I don't think there's anyone
That he's ever heard of.

Goodbye, ThunderClan
We'll all meet in StarClan, someday
I think we can

A/N: Well, this is my first attempt at warriors poetry! I was practically crying when Honeyfern died. I had to write something about her, and stealthclaw's Flight of the Squirrel poems inspired me. (Make sure you check those out - they're great!) I hope you liked it, and it wasn't too fluffy.
