Prologue – Fallen Angel

"What in heaven's name did you do this time?" An enraged Japanese head angel yelled at the poor little angel, Mikan.

"I-I didn't mean it, Serina-sensei! I'm really sorry!" Mikan was crying, simultaneously bowing her head down to express her request for forgiveness.

"You didn't mean it? Yes, I forgave you about the Hurricane Katrina incident," She exhaled deeply, "but this time? No."

"I'm really really sorry for causing you trouble again, Serina-sensei." Mikan was crying her eyes out. Serina exhaled again and looked at her, sympathy was overwhelming her heart.

Serina Yamada massaged her temples, trying to keep her temper calm. After all, she was an angel. "You wasted thousands of lives in Japan, Mikan-chan. That earthquake wasn't a joke. I told you don't perform any miracles by yourself! I don't think the Heaven's Supreme Court would let it pass easily."

"What will they do to me? Are they going to ban me from seeing my friends? Am I grounded?" She asked eagerly, eyes widening when she realized something, "Or worse, they'll forbid me to eat fluff puffs!"

"They already decided a punishment that's even worst," Serina looked at her seriously. "You are scheduled to go down to earth today, Mikan." Serina declared, her voice full of regret.

Mikan gaped like a fish and stared at Serina as if she has another head. "I'm sorry. I tried everything that I could to stop them, but they wouldn't..." She sighed, massaging her temples for the second time.

When she saw Mikan's frozen reaction, she continued telling her about her penalty. "St. Peter told me that you could get back to heaven." Mikan's eyes sparked as she heard the statement.

"...Under one condition," Serina quickly muttered.

"W-What condition...?"

"You must perform a miracle in Earth."

...she then finds herself falling.

When Mikan felt herself falling and falling, she couldn't help but thought 'How can they expect me to perform a miracle on earth, when I clearly can't even when I had powers?'

There seemed to be no end of it, until Mikan finds her body detached to a very hard surface, which happened to be a car. She closed her eyes and muttered a prayer, 'I am sorry for everything Kami-sama... and if I'm selfish enough, I also have one favour to ask. Please let my adventure here on earth be successful...'

She tried to keep her eyes open, but then everything became black.
