Nightmares
A/N: Hey guys this is my first ever fluffy Zeus and Artemis fanfiction. It's a father daughter moment. :D(Also I love calling Artemis Arty when she's young, she's like 6 in this and Hera hates her)
Zeus tucked the sliver blankets around one of his favorite daughters. Artemis turned on her side and pulled it up farther. Zeus smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Night, Arty." He said and turned the lights off. Artemis tossed and turned in her sleep
It sped past her face just cleaving off enough skin to make her cheek dribble blood. More of them sped past her drawing more blood. She sat on the ground crying her head in her hands, she could feeling her blood leaking out.
"Ha! Loved by no one will you be a worthless goddess. One never called for help. Others will take over your spot. I should make you mortal. You're pathetic. No child, no daughter ever loves hunting it is against our nature. Cursed with no love for you will have no beauty!" The queen of all Gods and Goddesses said. Her brown eyes lit ablaze with hatred of this little girl. Her light brown hair with wisps of auburn messy and dirty around her face. She was bleeding the blood of the gods. The girl's sliver eyes a milky silver and blue mix. She was scared and scarred.
"Pathetic little Artemis."
"No!" Zeus heard a young voice scream. He knew that voice. It was Artemis. Zeus got up out of his chair. His chair had been facing the moon. He had been wondering why it was so dim. When the moon was dim Artemis was upset. He rushed to her chambers. The young girl was sprawled out on her bed, her cheek had crescent shaped marks from her fingernails. She was crying and grabbing onto her pillow. Zeus put a hand on her shoulder.
"Artemis, Artemis, Arty?" He asked, gently shaking her. Zeus fit a small hand tap his shoulder, he turned and Saw Apollo standing there behind him.
"Daddy, is Artemis okay?" He asked, his blue eyes pleading. His lower lip was trembling and his blond and brown hair messy and curly around his face. Zeus nodded at his son.
"I think so…" he said, he heard a small yawn. Artemis blinked and woke up. Her hand went to her cheek and felt it. She looked around and saw her father and her twin.
"Daddy? Apollo!" She said. Zeus picked her up. He held her like a baby as she cuddled closer to him her long sliver night gown draped over his arm. Apollo understood that he should leave and did. Artemis felt light headed and sleepy. She snuggled closer and let her head rest in the crook of her father's arm. In a few seconds she was in another dream. This time comforted by her father. Zeus looked to the moon from his chair. The moon shone brighter, than it ever has before.
