What If?
"A kiss will set her free." My eyes flickered toward Jace as my heart tugged toward Simon. See since Simon and I have been dating, we've been spending a lot more time together. I've also been training with Jace some, and I've realized he's egotistical, annoying and sarcastic ALL the freaking time! See unlike Jace, Simon knows when to be serious. I love Simon.
"If it's just a kiss lets get it over with." Alec said behind me.
"Not just any kiss, my dear shadowhunter." I turned to look back at the seelie queen.
"What do you mean, Queen." That was Jace, speaking in his charming tone, that I am quit sick of.
"The kiss she most desires is the one that will set her free." At this I reached for Simon's hand, which had "coincidentaly" been brushing against mine through this whole thing. I looked to the Seelie Queen to make sure, I was doing the right thing. She nodded and I swiveled into Simon's arms. He leaned down, and as his lips touched mine everything, everyone in the room disapered. It was just Simon and I. Our lips moving in sync, his hands around my waist, my fingers twisted in his brown curls, and my body crushed as close as possible to his.
"Ehem!" I don't know how long it had been but when I pulled away from Simon, I was panting, and so was he.
I hugged him and whispered, "I love you." He hugged me tighter as Isabelle spoke to the Queen.
"Can she leave now? She kissed him, and obviously desired it." I broke away from Simon to glare at Izzy.
"Yes, I will have Meliorn show you out." We began to walk, Simon's hand in mine, Izzy talking to Meliorn, Alec and Jace walking on their own at the back. I strained my ears to try and hear their conversation.
"Jace, she's your sister. You should be happy she has someone that makes her happy." Alec, he seems to be warming up to me more.
"I know Alec, but..." He trailed off. He confuses me.
"Whatch'ya thinkin' bout?" Simon whispered into my ear making me shiver.
"How grateful I am of you. My best friend." I smiled at him, and we continued walking the rest of the way in silence.
