Title:
Not a Wimp
Rating: PG-13 at most.
Word count: approx. 311
words.
Not a wimp, not a wimp, not a wimp.
Remus Lupin repeated the words in his head like a mantra.
Not a wimp…
He would show that snake. He would show Snape that he could and would be assertive, if given the proper motivation.
"It would appear, Lupin, that you would forsake happiness, merely to please others. And I always thought that you were made of stronger stuff than those braggarts that you called friends."
That
had done it for him. He couldn't be called a wimp by Severus Snape
of all people.
He finally found his way to her classroom.
He raised a hand to knock on the door of the classroom, but hesitated. What if she didn't share his feelings? What if…
Not a wimp.
Remus composed himself and once more raised his
hand to knock.
All of a sudden, as if sensing that he was here,
the door opened itself. On the other side of the door, standing with
a pleasantly surprised look on her face, was the object of his
affections, Professor Hermione Granger.
"How wonderful to see you, Remus", She said, "To what do I owe the honour?"
Now Remus was feeling very nervous.
"I…er…came here to explain…"
She looked at him inquiringly.
"I'm
not a wimp." He said, floundering.
"Of course not, Remus, you're anything but a wimp." Hermione said, smiling broadly.
"No, no. you don't understand." He grabbed her by the front of her robes and, pushing her against the wall, kissed her soundly.
"I'm not," He said while ravishing her mouth, drawing a quiet moan, "A wimp."
And he spent the next weekend proving to her just how un-wimp-like he was.
No, thought Hermione as she woke up next to the man that she loved, most definitely not a wimp.
