Chapter One- A New Half-Saiyan Is Born

"Oh, he's so cute!" Was all you would here in this very small room. It was right after Videl and Gohan came from the hospital with their new born baby.

"Mom, Dad!" Pan said excitedly. "Can I see the baby? Oh, pretty please!"

"I can't...BREATHE!" Goku Jr. said right after he went through the crowd of people that surrounded Videl and Gohan. "I want to see the baby, too!"

"Hold on...Why don't we all sit down?" Gohan sighed. The whole family nodded and sat on the soft leather sofas.

"So...What are you going to name him?" Chi-Chi asked curiously.

They all waited and listened for what they were going to call the newborn child.

"Well...We were thinking we'd name him Giko." Videl said calmly as she fed Giko a warm bottle of milk.

"That's wonderful name!" Chi-Chi and Goku both agreed. The two proud granparents grinned and asked permission if they could hold the baby.

Videl gently gave the baby to Goku and he gently lifted him up and said, "I'm going to teach you how to become a great Saiyan just like your gramps!" He said proudly.

"Now, Goku...Don't forget his education! We don't want a dumb little boy, now do we?" Chi-Chi wiggled the baby's nose with her nose and smiled. "Kutchi, kutchi, ku!"

"But of course, we're going to help as well." Bulma said with a smile. Vegeta just sat by her with no excitement or happiness whatsoever. "Right, Vegeta?"

"Hmph."

"WAHH, WAHH!" Giko started to cry.

"Aww...I think someone needs a nap." Chi-Chi said. She gently gave Videl the sleepy baby.

Videl gently placed Giko in his crib and smoothly rubbed his back.

While Giko fell asleep, almost the whole family watched him sleep.

"He's such an angel!" Bulma smiled. They all smiled, except for Vegeta.

But when it was only Gohan, Videl, Pan, and Goku Jr. home, everything was quiet.

Except when it was midnight...

All night, Giko cried and cried, non-stop!

"Hush, little Giko...Please stop crying...Mommy's here...Don't worry.." Videl picked Giko up and tried to calm him down. "Hush little baby, don't say a word.." She sang. But it was no use. Giko kept crying and crying.

"What's wrong?" She asked. "Are you hungry?" But when she gave him a bottle, he refused to eat. When she checked his diaper, it was clear. "Oh, please stop crying...Giko, please stop crying.."

Then Gohan was waken up and checked on Videl and Giko. "What's wrong?"

"I'm not sure..." Videl said sadly. "He won't stop crying..."

"Ho-Hum..." Pan woke up and entered Gohan and Videl's room. "What's wrong?" She rubbed her eyes gently and sighed.

"We don't know. Giko won't stop crying."

"Let me try." Pan held Giko gently and patted his back softly. "Shh...Calm down, Giko...Everything's okay."

Burp!

"Hey, whaddya know?" Pan said proudly. Right after Giko burped, Giko fell asleep on Pan's shoulder. "He just needed to burp."

"Thanks, Pan." Gohan thanked.

"No problem...Good night." Pan yawned and gave back Giko to Videl.

After that whole 'burp thing', Giko slept through the whole night.
