As you may know, I killed Lucius, and as you also may know, I made him have pet horses, winged horses

As you may know, I killed Lucius, and as you also may know, I made him have pet horses, winged horses. Now what ever became of them? The more and more I thought about this, the less and less Hp like it seemed. Here is the result...

And the Faithful Will Wait

by PikaCheeka

The snow fell slowly over the immense black stables

It had been eight days since the master had last appeared at the door

From within, the creatures rustled in their stalls uncomfortably

They were not hungry, they did not eat

They were not cold, they had thick fur

They were not upset, they did not know

But they were restless

They knew something was wrong

They knew that their master was not coming

They unfolded their wings and refolded them

Their breath turned hot and white with anxiety in the cold air

But still no one came

They could wait forever and ever

They were immortal beings, majestic and white

They did not need to eat to survive. Nor move, nor sleep

They were faithful to their master, loyal

They would never leave and abandon him

Never

And yet, he abandoned them

He left for war

He never returned

That could only mean one thing

Death had taken their master

And from death there is no return

But still the beings waited

They kicked the ground restlessly, watching the dust unfold

They gazed out the windows, longing for a familiar figure to appear over the horizon

Swing his sword, as if he had conquered the day

But not the enemy

Not the death that awaited him in that bloody battlefield

Then the creatures understood

They knew he would never return

They knew they were alone forever

But still they waited

They waited

And the snow still fell

And the faithful still wait
