A/N: Hello, folks! I've got more poetry at long last. This is the first installment in my second poetry packet. The other two will be up as soon as I finish typing them.
So, I don't own Danny Phantom though I, like everyone else, wish I did. Please read and review!
Thanatophobia
If you lay your head down
I fear you might not wake again.
Don't close your eyes, love.
Stare at me a while longer.
I wish I could capture this moment,
Make you last forever.
Hold your breath in my lungs,
Let your precious heart beat in mine.
Don't rest my love
Except to rest in me.
Place your trust in my hands.
I assure you, you shall not leave.
I can't bear to lose you,
To let you move on to the light.
You might have fought for many years,
Your shoulders sore with the weight of fears.
But, honey, dearest ghost of my heart,
I can not bear to see you leave so soon.
I need you to protect me from myself.
