It's so, so dark. My head aches, but it's nothing compared to the sensation in my leg. The sky hovers above me, black and appearing to descend and suffocate me. Ashes burn my eyes, and I can't catch my breath. I heave myself up, gasping as my leg slides along the gravel. Such horrible, infuriating pain.

I turn to a man lying next to me, his medical uniformtattered and stained with blood. There's a sticker pressed against his chest, "Cyle" it reads. I nudge him gently, whispering his name. There is no response. I blink my burning eyes, lifting a pale hand to my heart, where a sticker with my name rests. "Prim... Rose. Primrose." I mutter, struggling to read upside down as the ringing in my head grows worse.

I struggle to my feet, letting out a small scream as I put weight on my injured leg. I balance myself by gripping the exterior of the building next to me, and look down to examine my wound. A large burn stretches the length of my leg, my uniform has been coalesced with my skin. Ashes cover me, and when I turn I can see they have coated my skin- You can see the whites of my eyes and teeth, the rest of me is covered in soot.

"Hello?" I holler across the field, where bodies lie disheveled. "I need help!" I feel the panic rising now, and I grip the standing brick wall on my side to hold myself up. "I-I can't remember anything!" I screech, clawing at the wall, unable to think over the ringing in my ears that now consumes me.

In the distance I see a few woman in white uniforms rushing towards me, but I pay no attention. I'm sliding, to the ground, to insanity... The ringing... It won't stop. It's like a bell. Ding. Ding. Dingdingding. I feel a wail rip from my throat, I try to think of why I'm here. Who am I, am I dead? Or dying? I heave myself back up, pressing into the wall.

One of the woman in white reaches me then, twisting me, tearing my tag from my uniform. "Come with us, you'll be okay." She whispers, and I barely hear. Ding. Ding. Dingdingding. Ding. She hoists my along, while another rushes over to help. She takes off a hat I'd had on, that's covered in ash. Most of my blonde hair has been singed off and falls to the ground, and a large gash in my cheek from gripping the wall disfigures my face.

"Who are you? Do you know where you belong? Do you have any family?" Ding. Ding. Dingdingding. Dingdingding. I clutch the arm of the woman in white, shaking my head violently.

"I can't... Remember..." The only thing I had was the name tag, and I've forgotten what it said. Ding. Ding. Dingdingding. I glance back, to grab it maybe, but it's been buried in the field of ash that a few survivors struggle away from.
