Author's Note: A snapshot in some future time where Sue Thomas and Jack Hudson are married and parents of deaf twins: laid back Thomas John "TJ" Hudson and dramatic Jodie Louise Hudson.
"Susie!"
Sue grinned at the man standing in the doorway. "Heya Pops."
"And how is my granddaughter?" The four year old he directed the question at burrowed further into her mother's arms.
"She's tired," signed Sue.
Stepping inside the house, Jack wasn't far behind, their son sound asleep on his shoulder, a bag in hand.
Heading upstairs, the pyjama-clad TJ was tucked into bed with little fuss before it required the efforts of both parents to undress his cranky twin, put her in pyjamas and finally get her down to sleep.
Re-appearing downstairs some time later, Sue smiled when her mother offered her a glass of wine. "Kids go down okay?"
"Mmm," Sue responded as she took a seat. "TJ was out like a light, though we had a little fight on our hands with Miss Jodie."
"Reminds me of someone," smirked Jan Thomas.
Sue missed her mother's response as she shared a warm smile and slid a wine to Jack right behind her.
