This is just another lil oneshot derived from 2.16. A look into Michael's thoughts during those oh-so wonderful moments between him and Sara in the ep. .
I dont own these moments, or the show they took place in. Sry :P
He stopped her before she could finish, the intense need to feel her against him too great to allow her to continue.
She had said enough, in those words.
Though she had used the word love, she did so without saying the three words that is usually so customary in those moments.
It wasn't necessary.
Michael didn't need to hear it.
What she had said was enough to trigger the motion of his hand through her hair, his head bending down and to the side, his body leaning forward.
It was enough to signal the moment he'd been waiting for since the breakout.
A true exchange of intimacy, bare in form, honest in intention.
A kiss that said so many things at once, and left no questions or mystery behind it.
It spoke of understanding, total comprehension of the statement just presented to him from her mouth. It offered apology, for all of things that had taken place between them in the past, for all of the pain caused and secrets kept. It gave hope for the future, opening their world to a new chapter of emotional freedom. It insinuated a fierce desire, long hidden beneath subtle glances and slight physical touches. It longed. It loved. It wanted.
And just when it could have taken, the kiss that said so much was interrupted.
But everything had been said.
He knew she felt this, but he stopped her from entering the building, just to satisfy the burning in his throat.
"About before…me too."
He found no reason behind using the actual word. For theirs was a love so deep and understood, it needed nothing else.
Not yet…not until they were truly free to love completely.
He saw her nod, he heard her quiet response, and he knew…
Love was more than just a word for them.
It was an existence.
